A proud Canadian, I now live in the beautiful Province of British Columbia :D Locations of interest near my former home in Ontario include all of Simcoe County (which is about an hour north of Toronto), plus Ancaster (west Hamilton) and the (former) County of Wentworth, which are due west of Toronto.

Copyright courtesy requested! If you wish to use a photo that I have uploaded to a memorial here on Find-a-Grave, and post it to another website 'as yours', KINDLY ASK ME FIRST. In general, I don't mind if anyone uses my photos for their personal records, and I would hope my name would be included for the source file. But please, if you're going to post them to a FEE-BASED/SUBSCRIPTION website (including Ancestry, which as we all know ultimately profits from _everything_ contributed to their site), it would be nice if credit to the photographer (me) could be given within the posting. I don't know if other sites make this possible, but something such as: "Photograph taken by OhSunnyOne, Ancaster, Ont" would be appreciated.
Thank you for this consideration.

RE: Christopher Corbett, Dunkerron Cemetery
Hi Beth,
Thanks for the feedback. Christopher Corbett is my 2nd great grandfather, so we have quite a bit of information on his family. His first wife was Mary HAMILTON, she died in Feb 1842 and is buried at Dunkerron, although there is no stone existing. Anecdotal evidence suggests her grave was near the fence, and directly in the path to the church. I believe this is the second church to be built on this site, so not clear if her grave still lies in the path... Christopher then remarried a widow, Eliza(beth) (Kearns) VanNorman, and the family moved to Belgrave, Huron County. Christopher died in 1893 at age 82 (approx.), and is buried at McCrea's cemetery, next door to his own property, although again I believe there is no stone that exists. We are not sure at this point where his second wife died and was buried.
Cheers,
Rob Corbett

RE: Charles Pollington (Hamilton Cemetery)
Thank you, I like the one that has the surrounding stones , as you mentioned it certainly helps to locate them.
I am looking forward to spring and being able to get out and about the cemeteries again.
I bet the weather out in BC is a lot better than Ontario, it has been a very wet and damp spring so far
thanks again

Charles Pollington (Hamilton Cemetery)
Hi Beth
Would you be so kind and remove your duplicate gravestone pictures from Charles Pollington's page so that I may add Personal pictures of him.
Perhaps just the close up one would do the trick
I know that mine was the last added but in looking at them all it seems to be the clearest

thanks
Val

Thanks for posting info on my ancestors, it was a comformation that I was on the right track in my research. I will look after the sites best that I can. I live in Manitoba so not a lot of my ancestors live close by, so I rely on the internet for info. Thanks for all your hard work.
