RE: Thank you - Katherine W. Burns
Hi John, You're very welcome, and yes, I did take a picture of the marker for Katherine W Burns, 1889-1967. It was right next to the marker for Clyde. I did not post it last night because the only memorial I saw was for a Catherine Burns with no dates given and no link to Clyde Burns, so I wanted to be sure I was posting the photo to the correct memorial page. I'm going to defer to you on this and wait for your reply before I post the picture. Should I post to the existing Catherine Burns memorial page, or do you want to make another page and link it to Clyde, and then I'll post to that one?

Clare Poor house farm
I just want to say a Big Thank You.

Do you know of any names in the Midland Poor farm? I saw pictures of it. Or Goats Hill in Midland?

I attend the sunrise Sunrise Memorial for all those who died on the streets and in poverty in Austin, Texas every year.

RE: Koons/Koontz
Thanks John,
Henry Koons, brother of George Michael, is my 4th great grandfather. Henry and his family moved to West Virginia. His son Andrew, my 3rd great grandfather, moved to Missouri. That's where I'm from. My mother's maiden name was Koontz. I'm just starting on Henry's siblings so I'm sure I'll have questions to ask you 😃

RE: correction
There is no doubt you are correct. As a matter of fact, last night I posted new photos of both Lottie and Gilbert on their memorial pages.

RE: Thank you
John, I only know right now a William E. Hause & Audrey E. Koontz (born Aug 1886) were married and have most all the the Koontz tied in with thousand's of other surnames.

If you goto & freely join these 2 Yahoo Groups. I have thousand's of Gladwin County Record Obituaries Files one can download for free at: & ... Second site is managed by another close friend Julie Batzloff who has thee Cronk's & Vannest surnames.

Also! be sure to keep your eye on Bob Frei Gladwin County, Michigan most local historian has all the tools to add from time to time. Hundreds more of (my) pull-up's & his obit's & he'll be getting supplied with more Obit's straight from (our) GCHS Mueseum soon. So! if I come across anything more on the Hause's will let you know!!!

I'm soon planning on an Article with the Gladwin County Record Editor Stephanie & President of Midland County Historical Society Gary Skory. Which hopefully will tell the masses where their's alot of Obituaries online from this area soon.
