Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been working on genealogy since the mid 1980's. If there are any photo's you need from the NW Indiana area I'll see what I can do...doesn't have to be cemetery.
I don't mind if you use the photo's I post as long as you are doing it respectfully.
I'll transfer any memorial that I've added to a family member of the person. Please request and let me know your relationship.
Also, PLEASE don't post duplicate headstone photo's on the memorials I create. And if you have a correction or addition to any of them please let me know where you found the information so I can verify that it's fact. Thank you.
When I create memorials that aren't my direct ancestors, I feel it's a privilege to pass them on. I like to help people "see" their loved ones.

Jeff Gonyea on his Find a Grave profile:

"We don't "own" the memorials we manage - they are not ours. We may create them, we may update them, we may transfer them to others - we are but stewards. They are Find A Grave memorials of human beings, departed. They are not "friends" on a social media network website to be collected like baseball trading cards. And there's no prize for the one who dies with the most.
The reward (for me) comes from maintaining the most accurate and dignified memorials I can. What we record becomes history, and a record in someone else's family tree. We have a responsibility to do a good job of it. It's a privilege and honor."

Thank you.

Thank you, yes she was an amazing woman and beautiful inside and out. Her kindness to everyone she met was such an inspiration to us all.

I have only just received the Ancestry DNA but will be uploading to gedmatch ect. I have a male Baker cousin (the last male of my generation) taking the test, so that will be especially significant because of his Y-DNA. Will keep you posted.

Talk soon.

Related?
The day I left you a message, just moments later received a phone call my mom passed away .. Memorial# 179091145 - so just getting back home from an extended stay with family. From what I can see Joseph Joel Baker/Rebecca Smith were the parents of Charles (your lineage) and Joseph (my lineage), our connection. So yes, we are related! Haven't found you on the DNA circles though - did you have your DNA done?
Will get back to you soon..
Your cousin LOL!

RE: William Hastings
Hi Carol

Check out the other side of his monument, it is Sophia Margaret,#80355181 who was married to Willam, Jan 12, 1898 and then married James McDiarmid.( I don't have their marriage date.)

Memorials Are Not Trophies To Be Collected
Thank you so much for this attitude and stating it. We need to be reminded of that and that they are the memories of those who have gone before us.
Thank you for your work and contributions.

You are welcome. This little cemetery has almost been lost. I am so happy we found it.

LOL! I'm keeping you in my radar - we have Baker, Upchurch, Chrisman lineage from Wayne Co., KY in common! Waiting for my DNA results, I see you have yours posted on Ancestry! : )

RE: Robert & Barbara Ramsey
I think the office was in error since Terry and I have plot maps and they are listed in 375, not 217. Several other families are in 217. They do make mistakes occasionally, I guess! :) Forgot to mention I also added a memorial for Norman C. Ramsey who is in the same plot.
