I was born and grew up in Leakesville, Greene Co., MS. I use the name B-24Co-pilotBro on findagrave in honor of my brother, Flight Officer, George F. Churchwell, Jr., U. S. Army Air Force, a one-month (youngest in his class) Turner Field, GA, flight school graduate, who as a young B24E Co-pilot was killed in a military airplane crash in 1943, as a result of successive port engines failures during a night time training mission.I have been formally studying families with ties to Greene County, MS, since the 1970s, to many of which I am related. In addition to Churchwell, I am a descendant of Breland, Daughdrill, Harrell, Freeman, Williams, Shepherd, Brannan, Smith, Roberts, Chatham and Barnes.

Mary Tayler Pilcher 64786980
Have sent an edit request to connect Mary to her parents and her husband. She was the second wife of Richard L. Pilcher. They married in 1919 after his wife Della Bailey Pilcher died in 1913. Names were confirmed by U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 for Mary Tayler Pilcher found on; and LDS Family Search marriage records.

Wilson Cemetery
Mr Brannon was buried in Wilson which is family owned by Don Wilson (Wilson Memorials). Their memorial business was located on the current cemetery property. Wolfridge and Wilson is separated by a low stone wall almost the complete length. Many people list it only as Wolfridge in the obits. As a resident of the area all my life and having relatives buried in both I can understand the confusion.

Headstone Photo
Hello, and thank you for transferring management of the Stone Faulk memorial.

I have one more request, please. Could you please remove the Stone Faulk headstone photo. At the time you saw it, the script was incomplete. It was later updated, as reflected in the Redbaron photo.

Best wishes,

William Keegan
Thanks for your sharp eye. There is a William Keegan in Mt Auburn so I transferred the site you placed death certificate on & moved it over to Holyhood. I then created another site for the other William Keegan in Mt Auburn per Mt Auburn cemetery records. Richard

She may be buried here:
Yankee Dan McInnis Cemetery
Cemetery notes and/or description:
This cemetery is located on Lakewood Drive, Southwest of Leakesville, in an obscure location on land once owned by Daniel Henry Clay, aka "Yankee Dan" McInnis. Yankee Dan moved away after the death of his second wife, Mary Lavenia Lewis. Abandoned for many years, it has the remnants of a fence that was severely damaged by loggers. People who lived and hunted in the area remember that there was evidence of a few additional burials there that were unmarked.
Directions: Travel southward on Louisiana Street from Lafayette & Louisiana Streets in Leakesville. Louisiana Steet becomes Jernigan Road; continue about 2.2 miles on Jernigan Road, turning left onto Lakewood Drive, thence about 0.1 mile just past a slight bend southward in the road. The cemetery is located on the north side of the road. Only one marker, that of Mary Lavenia McInnis, is visible.
