RE: Mossie L. Reeves
I would have guessed it was his Dad. The uniform insignia looks more like a WW I uniform insignia, but the picture is cropped quite a bit, so I cannot really tell. God bless him for his sacrifice in WW II. All those almost 2 million soldiers really had it tough. And they came back to build a great nation here at home. God bless them all.

Mossie L. Reeves
Hi, you posted a photo to the memorial for Mossie L Reeves (memorial #125282702) at Greenwood Cemetery. The photo is of a fine looking soldier. Who is the soldier? Is it her husband Bryon? If so, I'd like to add a caption and perhaps add it to Bryon's memorial.

Thanks, Tommy Wood

RE: Evelyn Cluff REEVES
Suzanne. or Suzy, so many skeletons in our closets!. My grandpa, Jesse or Harley, as he was known as, left KY at an early age, traveled across to CA, came north and settled in Montana... which is where he met & married my gram, Naomi Davis. Naomi was born in Montana. I'll send you an invite so you can visit my Ancestry site. P.S. I live in Montana. Where do you live?

RE: Evelyn Cluff REEVES
Hi! I guess I got all of that info right. Tony Bryan was a younger brother of my Grandpa, Jesse Harley Reeves. I probably already told you that. Did he marry a second time, Mae? I am on Ancestry. Are you a cousin of Beverly Watson?

Evelyn Cluff REEVES
Hi! I'm curious if Evelyn Cluff Reeves is the step-daughter of Tony Bryan Reeves? I see on her death certificate her father is listed as Jack CLUFF. I know Tony was in the army and supposedly didn't marry Mossie Leah Amos until he returned from France. Do you have much info on his marriage? He is the younger brother of my grandpa, Jesse Harley REEVES,

Memorial Book
Hi,
I came across a book from a funeral home that list John William Tucker.. It was in a box of things being thrown away.. I have been working on my family tree and can't let this get thrown away knowing how hard i have worked on mine.. I do think that this is the guest book from the funeral home back in 1959.. It has several things listed in it.. I would love to give it to family.. If you are interested in it please get in touch with me.. Thank You...

Charles Bowman

Suzanne, my name is Evelyn Miller I am the granddaughter of Oscar Bowman daughter of Carlotta. I have been researching our Bowmans for several years and always new that there was a story there regarding Charles aka Giles Davis, The more I research the more I am convinced that he must have been Giles Davis. May I ask where you found this information and does it have a source.
I would be most grateful for any information.
Thank you.

Laban Stewart #13961943
Thank you for the extensive information re: Laban's family. The writeup says he "may be" a son of Brice Stewart and Mary "Polly" Hodges. Brice is part of my Stewart family. We don't show a Laban as a son of Brice, but that certainly doesn't mean it's not possible. You speculate that Laban might have been born in or lived in Charlottesville, VA. Brice's Stewarts were southwest of there by about 150 miles, by road today. Like Laban, our Stewarts left VA for TN. Do you know where in TN Laban might have lived? My particular branch of Stewarts left TN for IL, although we also had Stewarts in MO. Interestingly, we also have a William Riley Stewart born 1846 in MO, while Laban's son was born 1830 in TN and later moved to MO.
I'm wondering if you know if any of the descendants have taken DNA tests? That would at least be likely to tell if that possible connection a real one.
