I am an amateur genealogist living in Louisville, Kentucky (recently moved from Houston, Texas) who is merely enjoying the experience of doing a bit of family history research as an interesting hobby.|

I enjoy coming across the photos and obituaries you've added. They're nice surprises to come upon while updating the memorials I've made. Hope you're well. I just saw the photo for J. C. Dorsel.
|Michael Adcock||Charles C Moore|
Glad to see you posted the younger photo of Mr.Moore,have been collecting materials for a bio of him,I was preempted by someone else a few years ago but plan to persevere with my own research which I feel is more factual.Do you have any info or more photos?

It's a little soggy in Covington and is going to continue to rain for at least the rest of the day. Hopefully we'll have a dry spell next week and I'll go take a look at his grave marker. Thanks for continuing to add all the interesting anecdotes culled from the newspapers.
|Roger Whiting||Indiana B (Sanford) Whiting|
Hope all is well.
Thanks for the obituary notice for my g,g,grandmother. I was lucky to have the Covington or Alexandria, KY (can't remember which)) send me a copy of her marriage license, this is great addition to her profile.
I left her middle name as Belle, not Bel. I have journal entrys written by my g,g,grandfather while in the US Army, referencing Belle. I noticed the obit had his initials as DG, actually DP (Daniel Powers) and he was in the 17th Infantry, actually 7th. Probably a space consideration to shorten her name.
Thanks again for the obituary notice. How did you run across Indiana and her obituary?
All the Best,
Roger C Whiting

It is an enjoyable journey, sifting through all the early records and learning about the founders of Northern Kentucky. We'll do that power lunch next time you're in Covington. Let me know when. :) Good luck in your research on your family. I've discovered many direct and collateral relatives in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, and love each and every new discovery.

Keith, I'm going to check with Elaine Kuhn at the Kenton County Public Library to look into this one. She has a special interest in Linden Grove, and may be able to find some more info to figure this one out. Thanks for all your doing with the obituary lookups. It really does add a personal touch to the older memorials.
born 1869 Covington ky, you have his baptism record from st patricks, I am sure that Patrick is actually james Patrick noonan born the date you listed. on james death cert they were one year off but his nephew was my father in law and he told me uncle jim was the oldest in the family. I know you were interested in this family and I've located some other members of it. They're all connected if you want to check them out.
|Sheila Robbins||Patrick J. Buckley|
Thanks for the reminder about date and place of Pat Buckley and Mary J. Reed plus her findagrave memorial number. I have tons of info on their family--just haven't done bio yet.
If you're in Covington taking photos, would you mind to take a photo of Patrick Buckley's memorial? It was a great source of info for me as he put the dates of his parents births and deaths plus those of his children who predeceased him. None of us were certain when his parents were born nor for sure where in Ireland they came from--altho we know port they sailed from and when they landed in New Orleans.
I'm 2000 or so miles from Covington.
