My family and I are primarily working on surnames Black, Thompson, Alford, Elmore, Martin, Jester and others. They are concentrated in AR, LA, and TX but we've found them in other states as well. Thanks to everyone who helps with those photo requests!

Charlie Black
Today I photographed and posted to Find A Grave your October 31, 2013 requested photo of the gravesite of Charlie Black at Friendship Cemetery, Hot Springs, Arkansas. His entire grave site is covered by a concrete ledger and has the funeral home marker embedded in it. Your other request for Rebecca Black did not turn up anything. She is not listed in the burials records for that cemetery at the historical society. I did, however find a metal funeral home marker for what looks like either a "Hammie Black" or a "Mammie" Black 1910-1996 which was beside the marker for Charlie Black. I will be happy to send you a photo of it if you would like. You can send me an e-mail at bbacon@cablelynx.com if you want it.

I am sorry that it took months to fulfill your request. The cemetery is only open certain days of the week, and is all dirt. Most of the markers are underground covered by dirt, rain, and more dirt. I was able to find it, clean it up and post it to your page.

Josephine Thompson Grave Photo Request
DB Black,

I visited Paradise Gardens Cemetery in Edmondson, Arkansas to locate & take a photo of this ancestor per your request.

I was told that there was no marker for the grave. The grave is located in: LOT 34 C-2.

I have a photo of the cemetery's sign, if you would like that. Just email me at ld_johnson@hotmail.com, and specify "Josephine Thompson Grave" in the subject line & I will email you a copy. In lieu of that, I can upload a photo to your request of the grave photo.

W. Blackie/Monahans Cemetery
City Hall does not have anyone listed under the last name of Blackie or the name Black. Is it possible there is another name he is buried under?

You might want to make another photo request for her as I only have a photo of her temporary marker.

Re: James Vance Fauver request in Roselawn, Baton Rouge, LA
In the same plot are

On one side of the marker
Buhler Fauver Lipscomb
James Vance Fauver 1870-1942
Laura Brooks Fauver 1880-1972
Clarence C Lipscomb 1904-1996
Sara Morrison Lipscomb 1906-1965

On the other side of same marker is Campbell
Lessie R Campbell 1893-1985

I did see some Buhler nearby, but did not realize they were in the same plot until adding the photo of the larger marker. If you want me to double check for Buhler family names in the same plot, just let me know. Should you need clearer, better photos, please do not hesitate. I am out there at least once every week, weather and family permitting.
