7th cousin to singer Johnny. Distant cousin to Benjamin Franklin. Another cousin, Col. Ellerbe Boggan Crawford Cash, fought the last legal duel in South Carolina and killed a lawyer friend in the affair. (See Cash-Shannon Duel July, 1880). The Colonel's son killed the marshall of Cheraw, SC along with an innocent bystander in 1884 and was himself killed by a posse. His name was William Boggan Cash, Yikes............same as mine! 5th great grandfather John Fox took a loyalist musket ball at Battle of Kings Mountain and wore it in his thigh the rest of his life. I dabble in family lines as time permits.
