I have been actively researching my family lines since 2004 and have found so much interesting information. I have found cousins I never knew I had and met many wonderful & helpful people on this site as well as on
I wasn't much of a graveyard visitor until I lost my husband, who was only 36, due to leukemia and a few short years later lost my infant grandson due to Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (born with only 3 chambers to his heart instead of 4). Now, I have lost my very best friend, my mother, to a rare blood disorder that brought about Leukemia and lung cancer. Experiences in life certainly have a way of changing your perspective about things.

If you have the time, please stop by and visit the memorials of these 3 very special people in my life.

I must say, I truly admire those volunteers who have adopted and transcribed entire cemeteries & photographers who go the extra mile to fulfill requests.

Transfer requests are welcome for all who are not in my family line.

You may use any family photo that I have taken with credit posted along with the photo so family researchers will have an avenue to connect with each other.

David John McCorkell's grave
Hi Dianne....I am the sister of David John McCorkell and I am just wondering why your icon is showing up under his name along with all the messages. His grave site used to show here, but it no longer does. Thank you for your attention in this matter. Karen

RE: Harry Tucket
Sounds like we may be related. My great grandmother was a Tucker. Harrison Wheeler Tucker was the son of my 3rd great grandparents Phoebe Woodward Lewis and Fred Henry Tucker. Both Fred and Phoebe came from New York, but the family was, like yours, also from NC, Alabama, TN and settled in Texas mainly. If you would like to transfer him, I will take him.

RE: Harry Tucker
Hi, Diane. The 1860 census was from Benton, Iowa and said he was born in Wisconsin. The 1900 census was from Texas and says he was born in Missouri. The 1910 census from Texas says he was born in Wisconsin again. According to the records I have for his siblings, the first was born in New York where they were from and the next two were born in Michigan, then another one from New York, then Harrison who is unclear, then two from Iowa. There are no other indications that he was born in Oklahoma or that his family was ever there. The year after he was born, his family has an Iowa state census that is from Benton. They were also in Iowa in the 1860 census. It's a puzzle and I don't know the answer. It sounds like his father had wanderlust. Whatever you want to put is fine with me, there is no clear answer unless something new is indexed one day. (beautiful hair you have.)
