Find-A-Grave is such a wonderful website and gives a lot of great information to family genealogists. I came from a family of nine children and have lots of nieces and nephews. I have been my family's record keeper since I was a very young girl and have loved meeting new relatives, especially cousins, cousins, and more cousins. It's also fun to be able to add new descendants of my parents to my family tree...which happens quite often. Many new babies are born every year. The family tree continues to grow and grow and bears much fruit. Aside from obtaining family information, this website allows us to give a living memorial to honor our family members who are no longer with us. This is an awesome website. Thank you Find-A-Grave.|

|HD||Ruby Marie Benton Hall|
Her middle name is not "Francis" it's Marie
Her father's name was George Benton.
Her mother's name was Emma Bledsaw.
The list of siblings are not correct either.
The wrong information has been connected here.
I know this for a fact. Ruby is my Grandmother.

Hi. Just a few questions
What is the source of David being born Nov 30, 1750?
In the 1810 Wayne Co census David McGown is born 1766-1784 as is Sary.
His 3 oldest sons are born 1785-1794 one of those is Solomon born 1785/90.
In 1820 Sary/Sally is listed as born before 1775.
Other older McGown in Wayne county born before 1775 are Samuel McGown and John McGown.
John born 1716 mentioned a son Samuel /brother to David. But he did not mention a son John. So who would this older John be in Wayne County if this family is related to John of Jefferson County?
What documentation is there that Sary moved to Russell and died?

Our SCV Camp is going to replace the headstone for Pvt Falwell but we are a little confused. He is listed as being buried at Stonewall as indicated on Find a Grave and his headstone but in the Obit or death of dead on Find A Grave, it says he is buried in Tenn.

U R Welcome!
I got pics of their gravestone per your request.
They had a not very photogenic gravestone. It is under a big spruce tree and the stone is in partial sun/partial shade all day long.
Pictures look a whole lot better in full sun but some stones like this one are in places where the sun never shines.
The whole bottom edge and both ends were covered with dirt from our long rainy winters here and the letters were full of dirt and moss.
I got it all cleaned up so you could see what it says on the stone.

I just wanted to let you know that Pvt Folwell(Falwell) died on 7 Dec 63 and is buried in Stonewall Confederate Cemetery in Griffin, Spalding Co, Georgia. Our SCV Camp is going to get him a new headstone with the correct information

After much research, I finally figured it out! It IS Alexander Studdard, not Elic. He went by Alec. All the records for him, from census down to his draft cards, have Alexander. Alec is even in the book on the history of baxter County. Just thought I'd let you know. It's been a couple years since we last spoke. I moved and had to put my research on hold. I had a baby last summer, a month before grandma passed away so it's been a slow start getting back in to it all. Hope you are doing well. ❤️
