Bio and Links
Interested in cemeteries, local history, and the main mission of Find A Grave - registration of the final disposition.

Please submit updates or corrections of factual, documented information for any memorial by clicking on the 'Edit' tab on the memorial in question.

-Birth/death date, birth/death place
-Relationship (parent and spouse links)
-Name
-Plot or GPS
-Marker transcription
-Suggest any other correction or addition

Edits are always welcomed but if there is information in the bio of the memorial, please read the information thoroughly before submitting an edit.

According to Find A Grave, "In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location." In other words, the first memorial in the correct cemetery is not considered the duplicate and will be the memorial that remains when merged with a "non-cemetery burial" or "burial unknown" or a memorial placed in the incorrect cemetery regardless of which memorial has the earlier date. Administrators can see the history of a memorial and can tell if it has been moved into a cemetery from another location or changed from another disposition.

Contact Info
I may be contacted for any reason by clicking on the "Edit" tab at the top of any of my managed memorials, then select the 6th option on the list that says, "Suggest any other correction or addition". Type your message in the text box and click on "Send" and I will receive the message as an email from Find A Grave. Any memorial manager can be contacted in this same manner even if their messages are disabled and they have no email address showing on their profile page.

For more information on the corrections or additions process please see:
How do I update or correct an error in memorial data?
and for more information on the transfer process please see:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?

Transfers will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

I will not link to memorials where the burial location is not known no matter which designation is used to try to hide the fact that the burial location is unknown. This is a grave registration site, not a family tree site. It's called Find A Grave for a reason. It's really not a hard concept. If you are adding memorials with the final disposition as "burial unknown", you are contributing to the corruption of this database. The Find A Grave guidelines say:

Location of body unknown is used for RECENT deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition MUST be determined and updated within 30 days.

Per Administrator Mark 9/21/12:
Admins won't knowingly link any memorial to a memorial of unknown disposition. We should not expect you to link them either.

Per Administrator Mark 4/21/16:
If you use the Burial Unknown option, it is to be for recent deaths where the disposition is not yet known. Recent as in the last few days, not months, not years, not decades, not centuries ago. And as stated in the FAQ, the final disposition should be updated within 30 days. As for those Unknown Disposition memorials older than 30 days or those being used for family tree purposes, we will be revisiting those after the new code launches...
