Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am now a ninety three year old mother, grandmother, gr-grandmother, and a gr-gr-grandmother. On my 80th birthday my grandkids were ask to share what they remember about grandma. Because I realized they didn't know much about their ancestors, I decided to write down what I remembered of the stories that were told to me as I was growing up. That lead me to contact the Sequoia Genealogical Society.

Volunteers taught me how to find more than 100 years of local family history from the Tulare City Libraries Genealogical Collection.

One volunteer, a retired school teacher taught me, fourth grade style, how to search the Internet on the computer. That year my daughter and grand children gave me a computer for Christmas, and I was off and flying and now I added Find a Grave to my activities.

I am now a self appointed family historian who has been doing research on my own extended family, and that of my friends,

Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

I treat a memorial just like it were the actual cemetery, and I leave a flower or acknowledgment. When you visit one of my memorials please leave a flower. It is not necessary for you to say that you are a relation, but I appreciate it when you do.

Because of my age I would like to transfer some of my memorials. For many of them, I am not a direct descendant, and I prefer to transfer to direct descendants. There are a few occasions where I will make an exception. I will not make any transfers unless you leave a flower and a note.

Jerod and Mary Platt photo requests at Fairmount
HI Auderey,
I wanted to check with you on your photo requests for both Jerod "Giddie" and Mary "Mollie".

I have reviewed both memorials and see that there are photos on both. Is there something else you are looking for?

Please let me know I am more than happy to assist. If you don't require any other photos, please remember to delete your photo request.
Thank you -

Thank you!
Thank you so much for your research. I have tracked my ancestors back to Roger Halstead, but could get no further. You information is very helpful! Next on my
List is a trip to Burney. Does anyone know what High Halstead Hall was - is? Just curious to find out as much as possible.

Minus Parsley
Hello, you declined my edit to remove the mother as "Sarah"...I sent you an email to clarify the removal of her, but maybe you didn't receive it. So I will let you know the reasoning for the change in the mother for Minus. Sarah would have been 10 when she had him and she didn't marry Jesse until 1855. Jesse had prior children with his first wife Matilda. I have sent a new edit for the change in the mother.

Thank you!! I hope you are doing well.
Be Blessed!

Lucy Ellen Boydstun Hrdlicka picture
Hi Audrey,

I see you submitted a photo of Lucy Ellen Boydstun Hrdlicka on her Memorial page. She is shown as the wife of William Joseph Hrdlicka but her year of birth is shown as 1892 which is much older than him who was born in 1924.

I have a marriage record for him to a Margaret Boydstun in Seminole, OK in dec 1945. She was born about 1930 as per the 1940 census. I can't find a date of her death or anything further outside of an OK City directory naming William J Hrdlicka and wife Margaret as residents of OK City at that time.

I also see some people have family trees on the Ancestry website indicating he married second a woman named Opal Lucille Price who was born in 1928.
It seems like perhaps these two women have been combined as one in names but the birth year for the wife said to be his as Lucy Ellen Boystun and her birth year as 1892 would make her 32 years older than her husband and that seems rather unlikely.

If you are related to this family I'm hoping you can clear this up for me or if not tell me where you obtained the photo. I'm trying to determine what happened to Margaret Boydstun and if and where and where she died. Also If they divorced, when and if and who she remarried if she did.
Thank you!

Hi Audrey,

Even though you have changed his burial location from the Erie Cemetery to Cremated, it is still showing up as a photo request in the Erie Cemetery. Perhaps if you withdraw the photo request it will disappear.

Thank you.

I saw your photo of Alice that you added to her Memorial.

I was wondering and hoping you might have a photo of her husband Edward?
Kind regards,
