I am a North Londoner of Irish Protestant and Anglo-Indian (or, to be more accurate, Hiberno-Caledonian-Anglo-Dutch-Huguenot-Indian) parentage. I was trained as a mathematician but, at the moment, am working only part-time. I have travelled a lot; not only around the British Isles, but also throughout: Europe; Africa; America (North only; I have yet to cross the Rio Grande, never mind the Panama Canal, although I have been to the States quite a few times and once ventured across the Forty-Ninth Parallel for a month, and should like to go back to Canada again, sometime); Asia; and Australia. Unfortunately, most of those voyages were undertaken before the invention of the digital camera, so I can't show you too many of the graves I saw when I was abroad. When I am not travelling or working, or painting or acting, I am learning to play the piano and various woodwind instruments. I try to keep my body fit with cycling and swimming and karate, as well as by never drinking alcohol or coffee, or smoking, or eating flesh, or fowl, or fish, and I try to keep my mind fit with chess and crosswords and reading.

Please note; I am forever running around this world (as Jefferson Airplane once sang), and seldom check the computer when I am on my wanderings; but, if you write to me, I shall make sure that I answer on my return.

RE: Warrant Officer Fulbrook
Hi Iain,

Sounds like you have a wonderful summer planned. Unless a medical miracle happens I shall be staying close to home. That is OK though as there are 3 large cemeteries in town that I have not paid much attention to in the past so that will be my goal.

Take care and keep up your good work

RE: Warrant Officer Fulbrook
Hi Iain

I will ask my air force connection what the code means. He did tell me once but I have lost the info. Must have put it somewhere too safe!

Here is the corrected information

From Bomber County Aviation Resource

Coded PM-B, airborne from Elsham Wolds to practice overshooting on three engines. At 1215 the aircraft stalled in the circuit whilst still on 3 engines, rolled inverted and crashed. W/O R.J. Fulbrook DFC, F/Sgt F.W. Hill
WO2 Nikolas Hrehorak , Sgt D.R. Evans and F/Sgt Robert Lyle McCulloch

RE: Dr. Hamilton's grave in Corfu
Hello Iain: I agree it is not likely that the stone is still standing. I hope to go there one day.

RE: Lance Serjeant Frank Waterworth at St Pancras 24724193
It did look like it was a beautiful day for the photo shoot.

I'll see what I can find on the date discrepancy. From what I had found, Frank worked on a searchlight crew with the Royal Engineers at a field in Saltfleetby. That general area, according to news accounts, was bombed by the Germans about the time of his death. Thanks again and enjoy your travels!

Lance Serjeant Frank Waterworth at St Pancras 24724193
Thank you very much for uploading the photos of the Waterworth grave. It confirms that he is a part of the family. It also gives me a wealth of family information. I appreciate your effort!

Eric A White RWF Kohima Cemetery
Though the White family had a citation from CWGC and a photo of the cemetery we have never had a photo of the grave of Eric A White. Today we found your photo. Thank you so much for helping to fill a small gap in the history of a Welshman who died so far away from home.
