Drew in NJ
Hi Cindy, I work with a Drew y-DNA project. We have a member that also traces back to NJ. Do you know if your Robert has any direct Drew male descendants? If so, it would be very interesting to see if his y-DNA matches any in our project. Regards, Rob Drew

RE: Lock(e)
I totally understand the caregiver thing. Take care of yourself in the meantime. I so hope to go to Preble Co. next month and find the graves... hopefully hers too.

RE: Lock(e)
He's my third great grandfather. Have you found Susanna's burial? Lock never had an 'e' until one of my mom's great uncles, Noah - his son "Roll" mom called him - Carolus... his birth record is LOCK... but when he married he added an 'e' to his name.... it shows up in the Noble Co, IN records. Mom's family could never figure out why some of them family spelled it with an 'e'. lol.... I think someone just wanted to be different or something.

RE: Evelyn Gant
The way find a grave works, and rules are if someone else has already listed your parents, grandparents etc.... you do not make a new memorial for that person, instead you contact the person who has your family member listed, they are required by find a grave rules to transfer the family member over to you.

Find a grave does have rules we all have to abide by. If we did not abide by Find A Grave rules, we might be dismembers from find a grave.

God Bless

Henry Bastian Lock
Hi! I wanted to ask - was there ever a picture of the headstone for Henry and Susannah?? I am trying to figure out why when I first was told about Find a grave and looked up the Locks, I thought I remembered seeing a headstone picture. Henry's youngest son was Harrison, who's oldest child(son), Francis Lock - was my maternal grandmother's dad. Thanks!

Hi, Cindy - This one's my 6th great-grandfather - so looks like we're related. I think the date on it is 1825, though, not 1827. A Nusbaum married a Molm, and my mother is a Molm. Enjoy!

Are there any living male Drews in your line who might do a DNA test? Could at least sort out which Drew line Robert came from. There are several researchers working on this problem of 'missing fathers'. And it could help everyone. I have a number of Robert Drews in my database, mostly NH & ME. But, not yours, unfortunately.
