I've been interested in genealogy research for many years, actively engaged for the last 10+ years. I am researching my roots, namely, the Bane/Bain/Bayne families of east Tennessee, the Crabtree family of Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky; the Cade family of Tennessee; the Blackburn family of east Tennessee, originally from Ashe County, North Carolina, and the Maynard and Pack families of West Virginia. For the benefit of my children I also do some limited research of my wife's family- the Bards of Fulton County, Pennsylvania, and the Allisons of Gallia County, Ohio.
