Edward & Permelia Tarrant photo
You are welcome. We live in Arkansas but took a trip to Tuscaloosa County to find Hamner relatives and went ahead and took pics of all the graves in this cemetery (as it is hard to locate).

Harriet Ryan
Hi..I was in Hillside Cemetery this afternoon and found the RYANS plot, with the help of a care taker. If the plot number you gave is correct, Harriet does not have a stone. The only Ryan's there are Isabella, William and Jane (I have put them in)...sorry.

Mary Elmira Hewitt
Robin, I noticed your memorials for Robert Greene Hewitt & wife. I assume these are the parents of Mary Elmira Hewitt who married Daniel Stimson?

By the way, thought I'd mention, the Rockwell, Texas you listed on his bio is actually spelled Rockwall. Rockwall, TX. is just south of Lavon/Farmersville area where the Stimsons are buried.

Hope this helps!

RE: Photo
Hi,

Glad I could help with the photo. Yes, I'm in the metroplex area, so it's not too far. Don't know much about Daniel M. Stimson. I did a search. Apparently there's also a son, Daniel M. Simson.

Found a death certificate for his son, Dan M. Stimson, b. abt 1868, died June 1, 1949 in the Texas Confederate Home for Men in Austin, TX. His parents are named as DANIEL MANON STIMSON & SARAH A. ABSTON. His marital status is "separated" at time he died. He's 81 years old. States that he is buried in a cemetery in Farmersville, TX which is just up the road a bit from where his father is buried in the Abston Cemetery. (It doesn't name the cemetery but I'm guessing it may be a Farmersville City cemetery.) The Texas Confederate Home was the informant on the certificate.

Also, 1880 census, Collin Co. TX- Household of Daniel M. Stimpson, b. 1826 Virginia, and wife Mary A. Stimpson. Children are: Daniel M. Stimpson b. 1867, James E. Stimpson b. 1868, Isaac R. Stimpson b. 1872, Ellnora Stimpson b. 1879.

Also, a death certificate for a daughter of the younger Daniel Stimson, named Fannie Belle Boyd, b. Jan. 14,1884, in Nevada, TX, died April 30, 1962 at 78 years old in Wysongs Hospital in McKinney, TX (Just due north/north west of Lavon area where both the Daniels are buried) Her parents are listed as Daniel M. Stimson & Mary Elmira Hewitt. She's listed as buried in Thompson Cemetery. Informant is O'Reda McCartney. (Her daughter also buried in Thompson).

Note:**
On Fannie Belle Boyd's memorial, the older Daniel Stimson (b. 1827) is linked to her as a parent. I would think that is wrong based on the death certificate info as well as the ages, etc. The other Daniel Stimson (Jr.) (b. 1867) would actually be her father. His grave needs to be located wherever it is in Farmersville. TX.

Hope this helps!
