Bio Photo ==============================================

I started working on my family tree in 1978 when my mother got me involved in helping her do research. I am now retired and have more time to spend doing genealogy.
About 5 years ago I discovered Find-A-Grave and have been hooked ever since.

My main focus is on the families of Valentine, Virnig, Faust, Maiette, Clourate, Swain, Roots, Jolley, Powell, Fairfax, Gillam and their extended families.

I also have extended roots in the founding families from Nantucket Island including, Swain, Barnard, Macy, Coffin, Gardner and Mills.

I find old cemeteries fascinating, every old cemetery has it's own unique personality, unlike new cemeteries that are laid out in neat little rows with flat headstones.
So much family history can be found in old cemeteries.
Every grave has a story behind it and a story to tell.

Feel free to use any photos that I have posted, for non commercial use only. (Your personal family trees and Ancestry.com are OK)

Please DO NOT repost my photos on Find-A-Grave as your own.

I was very fortunate to have many family photos passed along to me, I have posted family photos to share with extended family members that were not fortunate enough to have these photos.

Feel free to use and copy "Family Photos", I have posted them to share with extended family members.

Please use the "EDIT TAB" on each individual page when requesting changes, additions, links, or transfers.

I will gladly transfer any memorial that is not part of my family.

Please do not make duplicate memorial pages!

Duplicate pages really mess up the linking process!

Search the name you are looking for before making a page, if the page already exists request a transfer!

=================== 'HTML' ===================

Find-A-Grave pages will except 'Limited HTML' promps.
You can use standard BOLD opening and closing promps to add Bold words.
You can use standard LINK opening and closing promps to add links to your pages.
You can use standard Italics opening and closing promps to add Italics text to your pages.
To change the Size of the columns use a row of = signs in the first line of copy in the Bio section.
Example, to make larger Bio. Copy space with smaller photos.
Size and Color promps do not work...

Rick,

I added the info you sent me including the 3 family members and I did some linking. I also added her sister, Pearl (Farnum) Justice as I believe she is buried there. I requested photos but I can wait for better weather. Thanks for your help:)

Leonia Cemetery
Hi Rick,

The Leonia Cemetery is also called Boulder Creek Cemetery. The memorial in Leonia was mine and I deleted it. The person in question lived in Spokane and Leonia and I think yours is the correct one. Oh well, that is how it goes.

Sorry
Jim

Thanks for getting back to me. I only add information from family trees if there is some sort of documentation to back it up. For instance "Vernon" was in a census. I was unable to find middle name in any record, but will add reference to it in his bio.

Hi Rick - Please let me know what source you used to verify middle name Leroy? I'm not finding it in any records.

RE: Charles and Alphonso Codd
Odd. I can't find the record I had last night that gave a last name of Mcquene or McCune. I must have the wrong person. Sorry Rick. Sue

Hi Rick, you're welcome. Are these 2 brothers? I found 2 different spellings for her maiden last name. Mcquene or McCune.
