I first became interested in genealogy when my grandmother, Rubye Mae Steele Brooks began to research the family tree and told me about the interesting things she was finding. This was before the internet, so she was doing a lot of travelling and letter writing. I started gathering stories from my other grandparents and eventually started seriously researching. My brother, Randy, (RTB) told me about Find A Grave and it was a beautiful extension of my genealogy research. I have come across others with a lot more information than I have and am grateful for all the people out there who are willing to put info and pictures from all the graveyards and memorial gardens around the country. Thank you all. If you would like to take ownership of any memorial I have submitted, just let me know. I have added many memorials just based on the fact that I have relatives in the same cemetery. I am pleased when I am contacted by someone who knew of or cared for a person for whom I have established a memorial. I hope they all are found by someone who cares. I will transfer them gladly if I am not related. Take care,Sherry PerryI stole the following from Gennaphyr, but I wholeheartedly agree!I grant anyone the right to use my photos for any purpose, without any conditions. As the copyright holder of my photos, I release them into the public domain. However, if you don't see my name under the photo then that photo does not belong to me and you will need to contact that individual Find a Grave member for permission to use their photo. You don't need to kiss my foot for a transfer. I love being able to transfer memorials I have created to family and friends (to me that is a Find A Grave success story) Still active 2015.|

Thank you for answering. I'm sure this is our friend. Would you transfer his memorial to me? Thank you.

Sherry do you happen to know if this person William R. Scanlon went by the name of Roy Scanlon? Do you know anything about him? I just recently learned he had passed on. I am from Connersville, Indiana and we all were friends back in the day. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Have a great week!

I have been researching the family of Dorris Dinkins buried at Palestine Cem in Henry Co trying to locate memorials for his brothers which Robert A Dinkins born in Jan 19, 1900 per his WWI Draft record was a brother.
Their parents were Jesse Dinkins 33433522 and Syritha High Dinkins 33433511.
There are different parents attached to your memorial and was wondering about this connection.
Thanks for you help,
Susan Stewart, Paris, TN
