Newkirk Cemetery (Timothy Newkirk) Magnolia, Duplin Co., NC
We have a problem. Eight of my nine relatives in this cemetery are also listed as being buried at Oak Plain Presbyterian Church; Waycross, Sampson Co., NC. Do you know where you obtained the information about the burials at this site? I suspect your cemetery records are right since it was the tradition of our family to be buried on family land BUT there are headstones at the other cemetery. I have listed the duplications below:

Your Memorials: Their memorials:
100213015 Same as 55457071
100212919 Same as 55457089
100210960 Same as 55457070
100212817 Same as 55457087
100212770 Same as 55457091
100212630 Same as 55457088
100212710 Same as 55457090

Could the headstones have been moved from the Duplin County location to the Oak Plain Presbyterian Church cemetery in Sampson County?

RE: Jones' of Pender Co, NC
Thanks for the follow up info. Bogus and Catherine Jane were my Gggrandparents by way of their son, Henry and then by his daughter Lucy( my grandma) I'm not sure why my grandma and the rest of the family never put a headstone or just moved them up them hill to the other cemetery. my mom always thought that there was a proper cemetery that they were buried in, but she was young and not interested when they would go clean it up,so she didn't pay attention to the location or details of it.
I may look into adding headstones at the other cemetery.
I do have pictures of Bogus and Catherine but you can certainly send me a copy, in case you have something different than I do.
Are you related to the Jones'?

RE: Jones Cemetery
do you know where the spot is? I would love to find it, regardless of what shape it's in just so I know. I live in Wilmington so I could meet you one day if you could point it out

Mr. Turner, Do you actually know where the cemetery is located on the Rockfish creek that John Davis Jones Sr, Virginia Jane Sloan Jones are buried? They are my ggggrandparents. My mom remembers that her mom, my Grandma used to tend the cemetery on the creek, but mom never did recall where it was. I would love to know where it is.
Thanks,
Suzanne

It's the least I could do. He was a very close friend of mine as well..more like a brother, actually.
