I love history, genealogy, and photography, and have fond memories of my grandfather taking me to his favorite cemetery and telling stories of all the people he knew. But it wasn't until I was researching the history of our house(s) that I found myself trying to figure out whether previous owners had stuck around and were buried in local cemeteries. I took a photo and then another and another.

I love hearing from people all around the world who are looking for a loved one or a long lost relative.

If everyone who died in a war, declared or undeclared, was listed on FAG, there would be no more wars. I love the idea that people can be remembered, forever.

Willard B Curtis #104266146
Just heard back from the Administrative Support person at Lake Forest Cemetery. She provided me with the date and location of Willard's death. (I added the information to his memorial.) He was interred on 29 Oct 1949, and she also gave me the Plot information, if you would like to add that as well: Section C, Block 1, Lot 10.
Thank you.

Duplicate photo for Maurice Bogguess
Hi Rommy,
You posted 2 copies of the same gravestone photo on Maurice Bogguess's memorial #19988333. Just a note in case you want to remove one. You will also see that I posted an additional photo of Maurice's stone since it shows shows a little more clearly the inscription at the bottom that he was awarded the Purple Heart. I was lucky with the sun angle and snapped a few extra stones while there for a neighboring stone photo. Sincerely, Judi

outdated photos for Glenn & Esther Baird
Hi Rommy,
A new stone has been placed at Fort Sheridan Cemetery for Glenn Baird and his wife Esther Baird which occurred after the date of your posted gravestone photos. I have posted a photo of the new stone for each of them and am writing in case you want to remove the old stone photos since they are outdated.
Glenn Baird # 19859888
Esther Baird # 19859887 (Note: you have 2 photos on Esther's memorial, one with Glenn's inscription and one with Esther's, both are from the old stone).
Sincerely, Judi

Record added: Jul 02, 2008 Find A Grave Memorial# 27992250
Hi Rommy,
Looking at the referenced memorial for John A. Stevenson, it appears you have put his birthdate as his date of death. Obviously, if he had died in 1924, he would not have fought in WWII. He may, indeed, have died since the memorial was set up in 2008, but the 1924 date is his date of birth.
Thank you.

Willard B Curtis 104266146
Hello Rommy, Willard was married to my 2x great aunt. He and his wife Clara Alice Tribbey Curtis are buried next to each other. However, his grave is unmarked, according to the cemetery personnel. I understand that they are the only ones buried in the Curtis plot. Perhaps you could make this notation on his memorial page and add the picture of the Plot Marker. Thank you.

Minnie Minerva Euler

Someone made a duplicate of this memorial in Ft. Sheridan Cemetery, except he put Minnie as the first name and Minerva as the last name. I have sent a notice to the person to correct the situation.

While I was researching the name, I found that she was born in Nashville, so I sent you a correction through the edit tab.

The Amos Thomas Family
Dear Rommy,
Thanks you so much for accepting the edits, adding the parents to the sons and daughters in your care. Family reunited after scattering from German Flatts NY to Canada and the US West, well some stayed in New York, too.
Thanks again.

Dear Rommy,
Alec Bokanovecz # 76365335 is a duplicate and
Abraham Cintron # 101958502 is a duplicate.
The "suggest other correction" system doesn't seem to have worked on these so I am sending via messages, SORRY for the inconvenience. Thanks, Judi

Robert J Nelson moved from Ft. Sheridan
Robert John Nelson was moved from Ft. Sheridan Cemetery to Abraham Lincoln National Cem., Elwood, Will County, IL. There is not a Find A Grave memorial yet for him there so it may be easier (since he is linked to parents) if you change the cemetery on his current memorial and note in his bio he was originally interred in Fort Sheridan Cemetery. His stone no longer exists at Ft. Sheridan and the plot now has someone else in it.
Robert John Nelson # 46388432
now at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Will County, IL
plot: Section 5 Site 250A
Thanks, Judi

Briggs Thomas
Thanks Rommy, I'll look into early settlers history. Good suggestion.
