Live in Mount Carmel,Pennsylvania. Trying to find other family members of Harold Siebert Miller(father),John Seibert Miller(Gf),William Miller(Ggf)Lafayette Derr(MGgf),Israel Derr(MGGgf),John William Boyer(MGf), Joseph Boyer(MGGf). Also related to the Weikels, Kerstetters and Updegrove[sic] |
As for changing incorrect information, I am happy to do so. I am also willing to transfer any of my memorial, for I am running out of time.
PLEASE feel free to visit my "Lost Little Angels" & "Lost Angels" Virtual Cemeteries anytime and leave them a Token and Note. These children & adults are lost in time because they have no headstone to tell us where they are buried in a cemetery or even on a family plot. My own twin brother and sister, Daniel & Nancy Miller, are a part of this group. So is my Maternal Great Grandmother. Records usually don't help, they simply say yes, they're buried here, but where, we don't exactly know. Just remember, you may be the only other person beside myself to visit a "Lost Little Angel" or "Lost Angel". Some of these lost children may not even have a living ancestor,"PLEASE VISIT THEM". Thank You from the bottom of My Heart.
For those memorials that have the phrase "Date obituary appeared in the paper," the paper I am referring to is one of the following from Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, United States:
The Weekly Item
The Semi-Weekly Item
The Mount Carmel Item (their daily paper)
The Daily News
The obituary you seek, will be somewhere in one of these Mount Carmel papers, depending on what date they were published. Do not be disappointed if the obituary has very little information written in it, some were very short in content and some only mentioned the name. Reporters constantly spelled names "phonetically", which can change the actual spelling of a persons' name very dramatically, so be very aware of this fact. I tried my very best not to make mistakes but sometimes, I had little information to work with. I may have placed someone in the wrong cemetery, spelled the name incorrectly, connected two family members together who were not husband & wife and things like that. For this, I am truly sorry, I'm only human and humans make mistakes.
UPDATE: September 16th,2015.
It is with a very heavy heart, that I must write the following. For 12 years, I read 104 years of local newspaper so that I could make a personal obituary database. I have also now walked through 14 different cemeteries in the local Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania area and completely photographed every headstone I could find in each cemetery. I have taken over 40,000 photos and used them on my own memorials and placed them on other memorials as well. I have also uploaded thousands of "Lost Little Angels" & "Lost Angels" memorials for those individuals who have no headstone to tell us where they are buried.
In my attempt to help mankind, I began to upload my personal database of over 50,000 names. This is when I ran into a problem, for which I asked Find-a-grave for advice on how to solve it. I have received an answer and I will abide by that decision. In principal, I agree with the advice but I feel they have left mankind down. You see, while using my obituary database as my guide for making a memorial, I hit a snag. Thousands of the obituaries did not include a burial site and there in lies the problem.

I am also related to William Miller. The Ensign is my Great Great Uncle - his sister Annie was my great grandmother. Do you have any family history or photographs that we could compare? My aunt just gave me a photo of Uncle Will while he was in the Boer War as a British soldier. I am trying to figure out what regiment he was in and came across you postings on findagrave noting his service in the US Navy.
Hope to hear from you,
|Brian Molloy||William Rankin|
You are listed as originating a site for a William Rankin, buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Northumberland County, PA, who died in January 1897. The Find-A-Grave posting notes an obituary of January 20, 1897, but no paper is referenced. William was my g-great grandfather, and I would welcome any additional information you might provide. PA vital records prior to 1906 are spotty and maintained by the counties. William would have been in his 80s, a widower and a native of Scotland. Thank you for your assistance! Brian
Hello Robert, I found your profile by random search which may not be that random but I wanted to thank you for all your research and cataloging efforts. While I research my family tree I am sure one day I will be using some of your research data to located some of my long lost distant relatives. I also like the fact you created a virtual cemeteries for those who are not marked with a traditional gravestone or have been lost in time. I am sure they would appreciate the fact you are honoring them in that way. Once again thanks for your efforts and I wish you well on your continued journey!
|Doris Buckley Haskell||Elwood Drake|
Thank you for creating this memorial for Elwood Drake, who died in January 1912 and may be buried in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Mount Carmel, PA.
If our research matches, his full name is Elwood Lukens Drake, born in Pennsylvania on 4 Oct 1873 and died 16 Jan 1912 in Columbus, Ohio.
Thank you for all your tireless work to help us remember those who have passed on.
|Carolee McGill-Barker||I see your request...|
I just wanted to let you know, I just randomly found your information on one of the memorials I was putting flowers on, and I see your cemeteries for people with no headstones and your request for flowers for those people.
I, also, have a "taken too soon" virtual cemetery, though my name for mine is "the youngest ones." I promise you that eventually I will leave a virtual flower on every memorial in your cemeteries, though I don't know how long it will take.
Also, if you end up with some of those memorials with no one to transfer them to, I would be happy to take them. I can't promise that I can personally do anything with any of them, but I can maybe do a little bit and at the very least actively make changes suggested by others.
Hopefully this will make you feel more at peace as you "run out of time." I don't know what draws me so strongly to these young and anonymous people, but something does, and it would give me great satisfaction to do anything at all to preserve their memories and acknowledge their existence.

|Donald Hall||Ray L. Miller|
I saw the note you left on Ray Lee Miller's Arlington National Cemetery memorial page. Would you happen to know if he is the same Ray Lee Miller who commanded the 44th Medical Brigade in the Republic of Vietnam in 1966-67? Or if he was a doctor in the Army Medical Corps?
|George Miller||I match Robert L Millers Ancestry DNA test.|
Good morning Robert,
I am George Miller your cousin from Hastings Nebraska.
Robert and I were almost a perfect match on our DNA testing. I believe our Grandfathers separated from each other in the late 1780's and yours stayed in Pennsylvania and mine went to Ohio and Illinois and some to Nebraska where we live. I have a Ancestry account where I have your family tree and mine. I am willing to let you use it if it will help both of us to improve our family history. I hope you will contact me so our families can be joined together. My E-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org
|Anne Beckman||GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR WORK|
God Bless You, Robert, for your work!
I am from Indiana, where there is a tremendous
amount of child abuse and neglect, leading to
death. (Today's headline, of the INDDIANAPOLIS
STAR involves the conviction of those guilty of
a child's death at a day care center.) The state is
in the top ten, or top five, and in 2007 was THE
top state in child abuse and neglect.
A grave is the only "lasting life" a child will
have on this earth, after his or her life was
cruelly taken away, by abuse or neglect. It is
a message to those who will listen, crying out,
"REMEMBER ME! YOU CANNOT BRING ME BACK TO LIFE,
BUT YOU CAN COME HERE TO EXPRESS LOVE FOR ME,
WITH YOUR FLOWERS AND STUFFED ANIMALS AND PRAYERS.
KEEP ME ALIVE HERE, THAT WAY! THEN, SERVE ME
BY KEEPING ALL THE CHILDREN YOU KNOW ALIVE AND
WELL CARED FOR AND JOYOUS, IN EVERY WAY. THEY
WILL ASK THE CHRIST CHILD, OUR LORD JESUS, TO
BLESS YOU, LWAYS, ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN, WHERE
YOU WILL BE PLAYING ON HEAVENLY CLOUDS WITH US!"
Bless you also, for your message to Addie Mae
Collins. I knew of the bombing of Birmingham's
16th St. Baptist Church, and of the four girls
being killed in the explosion. However:
Spike Lee's documentary, FOUR LITTLE GIRLS, taught
me so much MORE! My parents taped it off of HBO
for me. (At the time, my husband and I had no
cable TV.) There was a bit of a mistake, so for
me it begins with Maxine McNair talking about
Denise. TIME magazine's review said FLG would
tear one into pieces. IT DID! Seeing the intense
grief of the surviving families of the girls was
heartbreaking. I was so angry to know the KKK
members who did this monstrous act were not
brought to justice until DECADES LATER. I re-
member seeing the article on the front page of
THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR. AGAIN, Mrs. McNair had to
say, "The first thing that went through my mind
after the explosion was, 'MY BABY, MY BABY!'"
I remember one of the relatives of the girls,
after the conviction, saying, "It's time. It's
time." WAS IT EVER! Also, a sister of (I think)
Addie Mea Collins, who looked so profoundly
troubled and old before her time, in the doc-
umentary, as she was embracing one of the pro-
secutors who finally put those monsters in jail,
with the biggest smile on her face, looking
YOUNG AND FREE! I PRAY Addie Mae's sister, who
lost one of hers in the explosion, and who was
with Addie and Denise and Cynthia and Carole DOES
get the compensation from the government of
Alabama, which she so richly deserves! My God, I
could not believe, she, in her AGE AND CONDITION,
was WORKING AS A DOMESTIC! That is unfair enough
to be criminal! As we all know, race relations
today- NATIONWIDE- have been so severely tested by
critzens shooting those of another color or police
men shooting youth of another color.
Also: Children are NO LONGER INNOCENT. Gangs and
careless parents and violent video games and war
and poverty and stress have turned innocent child-
ren into hate-filled KILLERS.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOR BEING AN ADVOCATE, IN YOUR
OWN WAY, FOR ALL CHILDREN WHO HAVE SUFFERED, AND
ARE IN GRAVES...UNMARKED OR MARKED...caused by
child abuse, neglect, or hate.
