|We enjoy researching and sharing our family history. Born in Illinois, though we no longer live there, our cemetery research focuses primarily on Hancock County, Illinois, and Scotland County, Missouri. When we visit "home" we enjoy visiting the cemeteries we went to with our parents and grandparents to tend the family graves and pay tribute to those we love. It is our hope to document as much as we can, especially in the small cemeteries where many family members are buried. Our families' migration paths include Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky, so those states are also of particular interest to us. We make every effort to add accurate information, using census data, cemetery lists, obituaries, and other well-researched documentation. That said, typos are possible and we cannot guarantee that all information is correct. If you spot an error or have information to add to a biography, please let us know.|
You are welcome to use the photos or bios we've developed for nonprofit purposes, but please include the source since we sometimes add additional information to the memorial or correct errors in the data. If you use published obituaries that we've added with permission of the publisher, please be sure that copyright laws are respected in using that data.

By any chance to you have access to any pictures of the older Eggleston family? I was hoping to locate one of Davis and Tryphena and any of their children.
ANY reply is greatly appreciated -
Thank you for posting a picture of my Great-Aunt's headstone. Mittie Lou Genie Kirkland.
We had been looking for her grave for decades. Aunt Genie passed away at age 8 after she accidentally set herself on fire trying to start one in a fireplace.
My Great-Grandmother Lular, attempted to put out the flames with her apron and her hands and as a result had scars on her hands and arms for the rest of her life. My grandmother, who was 10 years old that the time, witnessed the incident and never really got over the death of her little sister and playmate.
Though we have no pictures, according to my grandmother and my mother, Aunt Genie was very light-skinned with blue eyes as their father was mulatto.
Thank you again for filling in a vital piece of our family puzzle.

Yes, thank you. I would be Daniels nephew had he lived. He was my fathers brother. I heard about him frequently. I knew his name but didn't ever update his listing.
