I would rather you check so it is never a bother! Thank you for being a good member of this great Site.

Is there any chance that Charles H Sumner d. June 24, 1842, Find a Grave Memorial# 113010632, was son of J P and Sarah Sumner instead of J R and Sarah Sumner? Can't seem to find J R and Sarah in Elkhart, Indiana.

Thank you for the quick response and correction. I am not familiar with merging records, but will see what I can do. Thanks again!
|MarkAWlms||Reva Maude Evans Atchley Brown|
Good day - I have a question for you concerning my the memorial for Reva Atchley ID 57948139 buried at Boyd's Creek Cemetery. There is a duplicate memorial for her ID 6957235 at Alder Branch Baptist Church. In reviewing her obituary it states that she was buried at Alder Branch. Is there a chance the memorial you maintain is incorrect? Thanks.
The obituary read:
Mrs. Reva Atchley Brown - age 88 of Route 1, Sevierville, widow of Charles Atchley and Otha Brown, died Monday evening, June 1, 1987, in Richmond, Va. Survivors son, Buford Atchley, Sevierville; daughters, Elizabeth Tarwater of Maryland, Johnnie Pedigo, Willa Mae Orcutt, Geraldine Roberts, all of Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnnie Matt Evans, Strawberry Plains; sisters, Boneita Wahl, Mildred Tunison, both of Florida. Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday Alder Branch Baptist Church. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment church cemetery. Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, in charge.
|Cindy Kimes||RE: Leander Anglin birthdate|
Oh. You ask if there was a specific location of birth?
His obituary says near Warsaw, Indiana. The family lived in the country so I'd list the location as Kosciusko County, Indiana. Thanks.
|Cindy Kimes||RE: Leander Anglin birthdate|
Leander is somewhat a mystery, at least who his parents were. I don't know what's accurate; there's varying info on when he was born:
1880 he's listed b. abt 1854
1900 he's listed b. Apr 1857
1910 he's listed b. abt 1856
1920 he's listed b. abt 1855
Death cert lists his birthdate as 13 April 1855 as does his obituary which appeared in "The Elkhart Truth" February 9, 1921 issue; pg 2.
His wife was still living when he died so I'm guessing she provided the info for his obituary. Did she know his exact year of birth? Who knows! I was mainly inquiring abt the birth year because the tombstone lists a different year than the memorial, and wondered if you knew something no one else has discovered. Thanks for your prompt reply.

Firstly thanks so much for all the work you have done on Find A Grave, it is most appreciated!!
Secondly, I am working with my sister-in-law on her family history which includes the names of CHRISTIANSON, LOVEJOY, BLAKE and others. The Christ and Dora CHRISTIANSON at Ravenna are her great-grandparents.
She and I spent a lovely morning last Friday wandering around the Ravenna Cemetery (after we finally stopped and asked where the heck it was) and took many photos which I am now sorting and attributing to the proper folks. There were tons of her family there!
I have not gotten through all of them so I may have to bother you again but so far the puzzle is the D. M. B. footstone found near or beside a BLAKE headstone.
I have checked your Ravenna entries and don't find any D. M. Blake and what I have found so far on the BLAKE family (who married into the LOVEJOY family) has nothing that would fit a D. M. BLAKE.
Any ideas?? Or do the records you are referencing have anything that might shed light on who this D. M. might be?
|Elizabeth||RE: Hoefler, Kathlen|
I have never been to Korona. I don't even know where it is. I was vacationing in Flagler Beach last week and while there I visited Craig-Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens and took a lot of photos which I have been entering. I always check before setting up a new memorial and that's how I found your memorial for Kathleen. I checked the flaglercountyfamilies list for Craig-Flagler and Kathleen Hoefler is not listed there, so I think someone has made an error and entered her in St. Mary's list by mistake. I can assure you, I took the photo at Craig-Flagler. I really don't think I need to verify a burial with someone when I know what cemetery I walked and where I took the photo. Kathleen's headstone is a flat gray marker that says Kathleen Hoefler with the date 1903-1983 beneath her name and WE LOVE YOU beneath that. The only other thing it could be is a cenotaph. Either way a memorial needs to set up for her in Craig-Flagler since a headstone for her IS there. If you don't want to change the cemetery, just let me know and I will create a Craig-Flagler memorial for her. Thanks so much.

Thanks Marcia. I don't believe I connect with any of the Thomases or Hoffers.
I have, however, just realized that you also manage William Dunbar's second wife, Rebecca (Bruckhert) Dunbar's memorial. She is not a direct ancestor of mine, but I'm going to be putting together a series of genealogical cemetery tour videos with links to YouTube that I'll post in the bios.
Rebecca will definitely be on this tour as she is also buried in Hepton Union Cemetery with William Dunbar and Mary Ann Sechrist (his first wife).
If you wouldn't mind transferring her memorial over as well, I would really appreciate it. Her memorial number is 72667119.

Thanks for all the work you've done here on Find a Grave. I've found that you created memorials for a number of ancestors of mine.
Mary Heckaman (3rd great grandmother)
Mary Ann Sechrist (another 3rd great grandmother)
William Dunbar (3rd great grandfather)
I have information for all 3 that I would like to add to their pages. If you wouldn't mind, I would really appreciate you transferring their pages to me. If you are another descendant of theirs, I completely understand you wishing to keep their memorials and am happy to hear that family manages their pages. Also, I'd be very interested in how you're related to all 3 of them since that would probably make you a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th cousin of mine. I'll include each of their Find a Grave memorial numbers below.
Mary Heckaman (46479135)
Mary Ann Sechrist (73027130)
William Dunbar (73027489)
