A Texan's family tree is like a beautiful rose with many fragrant petals, but with any rose, you have thorny branches that needs pruning on occasion....the same goes with families.
Beatitudes of the Family Genealogists:

Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, For they tell the story of their time. Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, For this provides proof. Blessed are the grandmothers who preserved family Bibles and diaries, For this our heritage. Blessed are fathers who elect officials that answer letters of inquiry, For some, this is their only link to the past. Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, For one of her children will surely remember. Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, For them who owe the family history. Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, For theirs is a labour of love. Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."written by Unknown;

I also try very hard not to 'duplicate', but every now and again, one get's through. Please know that it wasn't intentional. If you'll let me know, I'll delete them.

Memorial # 16257012 Is there a marker of any kind??
Any idea where her father Hiram Spencer is buried. He died in 1926 and I thought he would be buried by his daughter Allie. Thank you,

RE: William and Rachel Reed
I am so sorry I didn't get back to you. Yes, you have them in the correct cemetery. And for additional clarification, this family cemetery that is on private property is directly across the road from the Sunshine Cemetery.

Thanks for your follow up. Joe

Her memorial has her birth date as 1842 in GA but also as 03 Jul 1836 in Troup, GA. I am wondering which is correct and if there is a headstone. Some in her family have the notation that the body was either lost or destroyed but not her.
Any help solving this would be appreciated.

Thank you for the transfer. I am trying to figure out how to add my dad as one of her brothers. But, I can't. Also, some of the names are not correct.
Thank you for your effort.
