Feel free to use any photos that I have taken. If you want to note my name and give me credit, it is very much appreciated.|
My current project is Woodland Cemetery in Las Vegas. Big thanks to Miracle Mile Tim for recommending this project. With in excess of 24,000 burial plots, Woodlawn may take 2-3 years to complete all memorials with obituaries and genealogical data. It appears that approximately 1,000 gravesites may be unidentified (have no markers). Further investigation has shown that numerous listed Woodland burials are at either Bunker Eden Vale or Palm Desert nearby.
Also photographed all markers in Bunker Eden Vale to determine proper burial location. Have entered approx. 97% of those burials.
Continuing to research the 1,000+ older memorials entered that have no gravestones. Once Eden Vale and Palm Desert are done then will focus back on remaining Woodlawn.
Thanks for all the assistance and additional information folks have been providing.

Thanks for transferring the memorial for my husband's Uncle George. Sharon
Cheers from Columbus....hey I imported an obit for Viola onto your listing so you could see that her husband was not Clyde it was Walter Russell Braucher. Walter's WWII draft card notes the home address as Viola also so I'm certain that this is correct. Looks like Walter died in 1948 a few years after Viola....I hope this helps

Thanks for the photo of Herbert H Krause @ Bunkers.
I am curious about his wife, the former Gertrude Trelease. She died in 1933 and I would like to know if she was buried with him. If not, I would like to know who might be.
Your name sounds Pennsylvania German as I have seen the it in Leghigh & Berks Counties. This is where Herbert is from originally. I don't know what brought him here but he was in Kern County, CA. before coming to Vegas where he raised his family.

According to admin at Woodlawn here in Vegas, Jimmie Fisler was an indigent burial that was paid for by the county who would not pay for a headstone. There is only a grassy, unmarked area. He is located in area Cypress 3 #145B (have to match numbers around him or get map from office) if you'd like to add that info to the memorial.

I can see the tremendous job you are doing and I thank you. My father was Frank and he had 4 wives, 3 of which are deceased. My mother, Jorene (Schuckman) Myre, his first wife, Genevieve Barnes, and his last wife, Betty Louise Crusa Waaland. I have added his father's memorial, which I created today #179019096. I would like to add some biographical information about Frank: Frank was the son of Paul Harlan Woolman and Myrtle Hewitt. He was one of three children. He was in the Army Reserves and served as a PFC in the US Army, from 1948 through 1951. He had special training as an Automotive Mechanic and served in Okinawa, Japan. He had 9 children (including me). He was killed when a compressor they were testing at the Nevada Nuclear Test Site, blew, knocking him 50 feet away.

Jeff, I have the will for Johannes Dietrich dated 7 Nov 1785 which seems to be his death date. It states that he had three children under the age of fourteen named John, Jacob, and Adam. The names Christopher Braucher and Jacob Merkel are at the top of the papers I have. It also states he was a man of considerable real and personal estate. A petition dated 4 Dec 1793 was filed by Barbara on behalf of the children and her name was then Barbara Kessler (remarried.) The fact that Christopher was listed at the top is what gives me suspect that Barbara is most likely his daughter. I have not been able to find out where she might be buried. Her husband George Kessler came from an abstract of Berks County. Also, Anna Barbara Kessler is listed as a child in Christoper Brauchers will June 13,1792-May 25, 1793. This should give you a little more to go on and feel free to ask questions if I can answer them.

Thank you for all the hard work you do!
I am hoping you can help me with a Braucher connection. I, and I am assuming you, are descended from Christopher & Anna M. (Schissler) Braucher.
I am having trouble verifying how Barbara Braucher, who married Johannes Dietrich (abt 1731-1785) fits into the family. I assume she maybe Christopher Braucher's sister, but have no proof.
Do you know of her and have any information on her that may help make the correct connection?
Thank you, Michal

I see that "Kazmaier" is not correct for her maiden name - and I haven't done any definitive research - but shouldn't her maiden name be DeVore, not Brigulet?
From the obituary, her siblings use DeVore.
Will give this another shot.
Located "an" Emil KAZMAIER (1904-1981) on the outer wall of Bldg. "H" at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Other names on the plaque include: Mary M. KOLLRUSS (1898-1995), Orville A. DETRICH (1933-2007) and Dawn B. DETRICH (1945).
Fort Howard Memorial Park does not have a record of Emil's burial, but they do have Irene KAZMAIER (1902-1967). She and Son Kenneth (b. 1944) are on the opposite side of a Leonard J. (1933-2011) & Leona A. (b. 1938) RYBA headstone in section HC-11.
If you still wish to have Emil KAZMAIER listed on findagrave.com, perhaps you want to change the cemetery?

I recently saw that you did substantial posting of memorials for the Rubrecht family at Friedens Cemetery this past Sept. Ephriam Rubrecht (Find A Grave Memorial# 136019076) was my 3x great grandfather through a son, James Rubright, buried in Schuylkill Haven, Please allow me to express my appreciation for a job well done. It was very helpful.
Did you take photos of any of their headstones? Where did you find the Friedens Cemetery records?
