Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana back in 1971. Since 2000, I have spent most of my free time working on my genealogy from my father's side in Pike County, Indiana, and my mother's side in Wayne County, Kentucky.

I am formally the Vice-President of the Pike County Genealogy Society in Petersburg, Indiana and have related myself to most of the main families of Pike County.

I also am related to all the Royal Families of Europe past and present. The Kings of ancient Scotland, which was known as Dalriada, are my Great-Grandfathers. The first king of Scotland, Kenneth I (810-858) is my 28th Great-Grand Uncle. There are Royal cousins buried in Danville, Petersburg, and Otwell.

I have also related myself in one way or another to 30 Presidents of the United States. Harry S Truman is my 3rd Cousin, 2 Times Removed.

I have also related myself to 25 Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom. My three favorites are Sir Winston Churchill, David Cameron and of course, Margaret Thatcher.

Hi, The Mausoleum at Angeles Abbey Memorial Park Compton, CA is constantly lock, due to daily vandalism from the surrounding neighbors. The staff is also not willing to assist with F.A.G. Volunteers. You will need to call the cemetery (310) 631-1141, if you are able to reach them and find out if your love one is buried outside the mausoleum for a headstone picture to be granted. Otherwise your request has been denied. ~Sorry~

Hugh Aikman
Hi, I appreciate your posting info about my uncle, Hugh Prentiss Aikman. There is, however, an error. He was the son of Claud E. Aikman and F. Katherine Williams, not Pearl. And he had, in addition to his 5 brothers, one sister, Estalla Lee, b. 1913, d. 1957.

Sonny & Buddy Jerrell, Martin Cem.
Hi! I was wondering if you could post the headstone photo of Sonny Jerrell to Buddy Jerrell's memorial? I've been doing some linking, and I find that Sonny and Buddy are twins John Emery and John Raymond Jerrell, who both died in infancy. I'm not related, but I would appreciate it, it makes me sad to find infants who aren't linked to any family.

Traci's Mom
Sumner Ancestors
I know very little about my Sumner heritage. I only have proof back to my great grandparents, Andrew Jackson and Emiretta (Emma Retta) Gregg Sumner. I've been told Andrew's dad was William Henry Sumner but I have no proof of his parentage or even details abt where he was born or died. I have heard he's buried in Indiana but I have no idea where. My grandpa was Rollie Roscoe Sumner who married a Bedwell. Bedwells' were from Greene and Sullivan Counties in Indiana

Can you help?

Jon Brown
Hayden Brown

My name is Jon Brown. I was born in and live in Evansville close to half of the year. My great grandfather, Hayden Brown is buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery on the northeast side of Velpen, IN. I have been to his gravesite. Both the year of his birth and the year of his death are in doubt. On findagrave, the year of his birth is shown as 1856, but on his tombstone, it is listed as 1855. Conversely, on findagrave his death year is listed as 1944, but the year of his death is absent on the tombstone. Iím doing some research on at least the correct years of his birth and death and hopefully I can find out the correct years, if not the actual days and months. Iím uncertain as to how his birth year on findagrave is listed as 1856 while his tombstone is engraved 1855. It may well have been a typo; but I certainly hope to find out which year is correct.

My question for you: Once I ascertain as best as I can the year of his death, do you know the name and number of a tombstone engraver in the Velpen area who I can contact to have the year of his death engraved on his stone? I would of course pay for it. For an unknown reason, it was left blank as can be seen at

Please respond and thank you,

Charles Ray Kinman (1896-1956)
Hi. I tried to make a correction to the parents listed for this man and for some reason it was declined. You have his parents as Albert and Myrtle Kinman and I can guarantee that they only had four children: Hazel, Hugh, Chester, and my mother-in-law Mildred. This Charles Ray Kinman was born in Oklahoma, which is a place that they never lived. Charles Ray's parents were William F. Kinman and Harriet Tomlinson. actually.

Hello. Thanks for the work you do here. I submitted a couple of corrections. One is for Harry Floyd Tallman in Danville South Cemetery. His birth place should be listed as Danville, Illinois, not Indiana. Also, for Joyce Tallman in Danville South Cemetery. Her maiden name was Zimmerman, not Shuler. I was Harry's step-son, and Joyce's son. Thanks!
