I saw this online and thought it great! This is why we photograph headstones in cemeteries!!
THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

I didn't do the headstone photos but did put a request for it and the person did an excellent job. Send me you mailing address and I will get you a book. If any of her other relatives would like one, let me know.
Your email address is not here on your bio page. My address is firstname.lastname@example.org

The book is "Women Vietnam Veterans: Our Untold Stories" by Donna Lowery. I was part of the team of veterans that gathered the information for the book and my part was finding the deceased for whom I have created a virtual cemetery here on find a grave. I didn't know Judie but several of the ladies that worked on the book did. We were all sadden by her passing. I have about 30 books and would be happy to give you one. You can read the reviews on Amazon.com. We weren't going for a best seller; just wanted our stories told. Marsha

Hi Jana, I am transferring John's memorial to you. I created it so I could link Judie to both here parents. Hope you know burial location for him. If you would like to have Judie's memorial too, let me know. Judie is remembered in our book and wrote her story for it. If you would like a copy of the book, send me your address and I would be happy to send you a book. Marsha

Hi Jana - we connected back in Apr 2015. I just wanted to mention that the person who submitted the photo never closed out the request so you might want to go in and cancel it.......:)
I haven't found her grave yet, but will look more as the weather improves here in Iowa. Villisca newspapers are online, try looking in different spellings/ways there for information about your family.

I'm sorry I must not have written it in the caption. He is buried between the two ladies. He didn't have a marker, so I took a photo of the area and the markers next to him. If you'd like I can remove the photo.

I checked death record and cencus'. You're right on the money. I'll approve the edits! Are you family? If so you should "Request a Photo" and let us know if you are indeed family and if you want us to transfer Mary & Alfred Bennett's Memorial's to you. We photograph out at Pac. Crest Cemetery once a week.
Good luck in your genealogy.

I wish the photo was better. We had a hard time reading it for verification. We had a map so my husband and I knew it had to be her. With the help of a flash light we were able to confirm it, but the photo is hard to make out.

There is also a C. Forrest Smith at Belcrest and on checking my Ancestry files, I fine his name is also Charles Forrest Smith, date of death Oct. 1999 and there is a memorial page for him and his late wife, but must be accessed as C. Forrest Smith
