As a child, my mother was always bringing us on Cemetery hunts and we spent many hours making grave rubbings and walking thru the monuments . I get great satisfaction in being a Find a Grave volunteer and am on my own search for my family who went before me and helped to make my life the blessing that it is. I'm gratified to know that I am able to unite in such a small way, families who are in search of each other.|
Family names I am researching are Curtis, Hollis, Crofut, Burt, Gates, Melow, Sutherland, Watts, McKay, Cady, Sherwood, Pitts, Parker, Thompson, Pyle to name a few.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to this wonderful website and the intensely important business of perpetuating history by documenting the people and their contributions that have gone and lived before us, gave us life, and a reason to live. God Bless you all.
If you have time please visit my family's war veterans and a very special young man who I had the privilidge of knowing, Lt. Timothy Steele who died in Afganistan.

|Karen M.||RE: Francis Cooke|
I am related through the Washburn line of Francis Cooke's family. So we would be distant cousins.

Patsy was married to my husband's Uncle.
I did some edits and suggestions on Find A Grave
to Patsy's mother's memorial.

Thank you and you are welcome

You're welcome. Glad to help.
|Jack Parker||RE: Lucretia Parker|
Has to be a male Parker, so perhaps your cousin? The Parker DNA project is run by Dennis West, firstname.lastname@example.org. He can lay out all of the particulars. It would be good to get a Reading/Wakefield Parker into the mix, to determine if there is a link - with whatever Parker family, and there are quite a few.
|Jack Parker||Lucretia Parker|
To the best of my knowledge, Lucretia is not one of my Parkers. She belongs in your hands.
The Reading/Wakefield Parker line my be tied to ours back in England, but that has not been proven. Do you know of a male Parker of this line who would be willing to take a YDNA test?
|Christine Ann Weese||Patrick Harris|
Hi, I am trying to confirm if the Patrick Harris in memorial # 175083977 is the same Patrick Harris previously married to Eliza Ann Weese. Patrick & Eliza lived in Leelanu county in the 1870s. Born ~1839 to 1841 in Canada. I lose track of him after 1880, and Eliza was remarried in 1885.
Any help would be appreciated!
Kate, your a charm taking these headstone photo's for me. I appreciate the hard work you do for Find A Grave and me in Maine.

Can we talk on the phone?
|Kelly Pinkham||John Sherwood|
I am a descendent of John and was wondering if you are related and if not can you turn the grave over to me to manage?
