I would like to thank all of the volunteers who take the time to enter the SACs and information I send to them. I do research the information with Census, birth/marriage/death records and obituaries before I submit the request.|
In response to an email I sent to a librarian at the Brooklyn Collection of the Brooklyn Public Library, I was told it is okay to retype an obituary or a death notice, in whole or in part, from the collection at the BDE and post it to FindAGrave memorials. The newspaper should be cited as the source. It is an orphan publication since the publisher is no longer in business so there is no copyright infringement.
Please visit Marcy Border's memorial, a 9-11 survivor who recently succumbed to stomach cancer and Cassandra Ann Morton's memorial, a murder victim who's case is still unsolved.
Please DO NOT POST DUPLICATE HEADSTONE PHOTOS ON ANY MEMORIALS I CREATE OR MANAGE. There is no reason to have two (or more) headstone photos. If the memorial is un-sponsored there is limited space. If your photo shows more detail than mine, please contact me via email to discuss it.
I will transfer memorials unless it's my direct ancestor or I'm more closely related than the requester. My goal is to reunite memorials I have created to family members. You can send the request via the suggest any other correction link under the edits tab.
You are welcome to use any photos that I have taken and posted on FindAGrave for personal use and/or not-for-profit genealogical Web sites. Please reference Find A Grave and the memorial number that you copied the photo from.

|William Hoover||Henry Straub (1907-1962)|
Dear Christina, I live in the Columbus Ohio area and I have family members (Hoover/McInturf) buried at Green Hill Cemetery in Johnstown Ohio. Johnstown Ohio is a 25-30 min ride outside Columbus, Ohio. I ran across the grave marker of Henry Straub (1907-1962). Henry Straub was born in NYC (Manhattan). His father's name I believe is Henry Straub also and I also believe he may be buried in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. If you are able to find out more information on Henry's father (DOB) maybe where his wife is buried Agnes Straub (Sweden)? Sadly, Henry Straub (1907-1962) took his life (suicide). There was not a lot of effective treatment for depression years ago i.e. Prozac, Zoloft etc... Take Care, William C. Hoover RN MSN

Christina, I know you are looking for Howards today as I have followed you in linking. I just want to tell you a place to look in this area that proves to be a lot of information. www.dcplibrary.org this is our Library in the next county. Look for Genealogy, then look for the Owensboro area obituary index. This index goes back to early 1840's to the present. I found Barnett Johnson Sr. that was married to Sallie Howard, he is with his second wife. Lot of info on him. I wanted to find anything that said where Sallie and Mary Ann were buried. Also this is a free search, some on the library you need a membership. This is the obituaries out of our local newspaper. I Love it and use it almost everyday. Just a thought, I know sometimes you just run out of places to look.

I was so happy to see that you moved them to the Buck Creek Cemetery in McLean Co. I went into the DAR on Groves Howard, his daughter Amelia married Samuel Charles Harrelson, then down to me.
The information on James is from a obituary database from the library. They might not have stones. I will see what I can find.

Hi Christina. You're welcome. I also wanted to let you know that in the immediate area were William Churchill, Marion Mable, Anna Huldah and Fannie A. Edwards. I added headstone photos to their memorials. USCgirl

|KLB||RE: Mark Howard|
I don't know if I got back to you on this before or not🙁 Several records on Ancestry show June, but it's Millenial files, etc, not death records. His will was dated late Feb, so could just as easily have been March.

Thanks for the information/correction for Howe on Find A Grave. I happened to be in Clark at the time of your e-mail and made a trip to Rose Hill. I've added a new picture...think it is clearer than the old but the best I could do that day.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my brother and leave a token.
Your kindness means a lot to me at this sad time.
|jamie johnson-hunter||Concerning Robert JEFFERY 1830-1920|
Thank you for the 1861 census info on my great great great grandfather, Robert JEFFERY. I have seen this and all the others as well. Are you connected to the JEFFERY family? I'm always excited to meet a new JEFFERY cousin! And now to change the info on his birth year (is that what you would like me to change?) I have found a birth date in a newspaper (his obit) so I will list that. It coincides with the 1841 census. Thank you for reminding me to check on updates on my family! I appreciate it!
|José Cuauhtémoc Azcárate||RE: Gen Juan Francisco Azcarate Pino|
Yes, Juan Francisco Azcarate was brother of my granfather Cuauhtemoc Azcarate Pino, but he dies at 1933 (as a pilot in a airplane crash). I had little contact with The General Azcarate because I only frequented him when I was a child, nevertheless, I remember his strong personality and his always intelligent and refined talk.
Do you have any relation to him?
|Jay29||Nils Mattson Utter|
About your inquiry... I just copied and pasted from https://www.geni.com/people/Nils-Nicholas-Utter/6000000000445780678. Come to find out I am a direct relation to Nils Mattson Utter. Go figure.
