Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired educator who just recently began searching for my families history. I am interested in finding out as much as possible so that I may get it recorded for my grandchildren. Hopefully, they will pass their heritage along to future generations. I have found a lot of info at ancestry on most of my family. However, there is a lot more to learn. Since I became a photo volunteer at FindAGrave, I have been visiting cemeteries and taking photos for others who live a distance away. This has also been done for me. I have photos of family that I could not have obtained without the help of other volunteers. I have teamed up with 2 other Find-a-gravers, Dottie Gilder and WD and the three of us work together to get as much information as we can for all the cemeteries in Tattnall Co. Genealogy is fascinating and there is so much history to be learned.

Cynthia Bragg
RE: Seabern and Jency H. Bragg
They are buried in the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Evans County, GA. Seabern and Jency Bragg are the parents of my grandmother Cynthia. Cynthia was born on September 6, 1901 in what was then Tatnall County I believe. My father said the family lived in Daisy, GA until the moved to Jenkins County in the 1930's. I would appreciate any information you can find and share about them. Thanks!

Lucy J. Sharp
Hi, Are you related to Lucy J Sharp in the Collins Baptist Church Cemetery, Tattnall Co., GA? I'm researching the Joyner family and some believe she was Lucy Joyner, the daughter of Daniel Joyner and Holly from Lancaster Co., SC.

J- could this possibly be yours? I have no record of requesting him. I was looking for someone else and this was showing as maintained by me????? I have went through every page of notes and his name is just not in any of them. Please let me know something. I've contacted Dottie and she said not hers. Thanks for your help.

RE: Stanfield Cemetery
I hate to keep it, you had originally established them. I'll add his dates and yes I have his parents.
I was down on the "Stanfield" compound a lot. I was friends with several of the girls.

Stanfield Cemetery
J- I know I did Lannie Stanfield #57961898 for you. Going back and looking I found no memorial under that #. I noted in my notes that it had a newspaper clipping that needed to be removed. I'm thinking the memorial was deleted in error. I have added the memorial back, but if you will go in and add just his name I'll move all the info over and delete the one I added.

Hi Janice, you do great work and I personally appreciate it. As for the Richman/Richmond issue. I just thought it seemed to be a coincidence when you look back a couple more generations. That being said, the earlier generation could be a miss-spelling.

Hope you have a great next year. God Bless,

Bernice "Bertie" Melon Teston
You were seeking information on Bernice "Bertie Melon Teston. My mother was Bertie Mae Teston who was the daughter of Ida Olphelia Kight and Benjamin Kight of Coffee County, Georgia. When Ida fell mentally ill and was committed to Millegevile's state psychiatric hospital, Mandy Ella Teston(Southerland) and Thad Teston adopted both Bertie and Lester and raised them in Screven, Georgia. Bertie married Thomas Willard Bartlett in Lagrange, Georgia in 1945 and had me in 1954. Bertie also had a daughter Barbara who was born at a Jesup hospital. Bertie died in 1994 and my dad in 1993. They are buried in Hillview East Annex cemetary in Lagrange, Georgia. I have many historic family photos from Ella and would be glad to be of additional assistance in helping document the family. I can be reached at Thanks
