Bio and Links
Bio Photo Found this poem while researching through newspapers; it was published in the Rockford Journal; Rockford, Illinois; Saturday, March 2, 1872; p. 2.

Closed are the laughing eyes,
   Beneath their curtains fair,
And round a marble brow,
   Soft lies the silken hair.

Stilled are the little hands,
That clasp our own no more,
And still two little feet,
   That played around our door.

A little voice is hushed,
That we had learned to love,
And now its music sweet,
   The angels hear above.

When first the baby come,
We asked for her God's care,
And He hath sent His love,
   An answer to our prayer.

Our Father took her home,
   Up to His mansion fair;
We surely could not ask,
   More tender, loving care.

And yet we loved her so,
'Twas hard to have her go
To seek a fairer land,
   And leave us still below.

We know she'll not return,
   But in that fairer home,
The little girl we love,
Will wait for us to come.

Mistake on ancestor's info
Hi there!

On my great great great grandmother's name you wrote Therina Foecus (wife to Daniel Martin Cable b. March 1829 in Harpers Ferry Va. or West Va.) but her last name was definitely is hard to read and missing in places (which is why you thought it said Foecus). Our records show ANNYOYINGLY and confusingly that her name was Emaline Forbes, and also possibly Harriet Forbes, and now this Therina Forbes however if you look closely you can see (along the lines of missing ink) that that name could actually be Thelina as well (there are a few in Sweden - more commonly spelled Telina). But who knows...she's a TOTALY MYSTERY. Hate it! If it WAS indeed Therina that might have stood for Catherina or something like that. Just can't find records for any of them.

Here's your page:

Thank you!

Barbara Jane Rosch Etterwind
Thank you for the parental edit for Barbara. I noticed you had an obituary for her posted on her mom's memorial. I have copy and pasted it to Barbara's memorial, and given you credit.

Let me know if this is ok with you.

Effa Lowery Eagan
You have sent me some edits for Effa Lowery Eagan's memorial (Find A Grave # 91693308). Can you provide me with any more information about her so that I can better understand your edits? Do you know who she was married to? Is it possible that her middle name was Lowery? Thanks.

Gertrude Fishel Greenberg is not buried in Beardstown. She is buried in the Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, Ladue, Missouri. Please make that change on her Find A Grave page.

Thank you.

Violet Ida Nipper Fritsch #168737486
Violet was the wife of my 1st cousin (1x removed) Harold Wallace "Bud" Fritsch (with a "t"). And while I haven't been able to find a grave site for her husband Bud, I know that she was not married to Hilbert G. Frisch (no "t"). Similar name, but a totally different person.

I did look for, and found that Hilbert G. Frisch (no "t") did marry a woman named Violet on 10 Aug 1936, but it was Violet Steinlauf - not Nipper.

All of the rest of the information about Violet Nipper Fritsch seems to be correct. So if you could remove Hilbert G. Frisch from her Memorial, I would appreciate it. Or you could just transfer her memorial to me, if she's no relation to you.
Thank you. Barb

131268748 Thomas James Healy
I am the niece, two times removed of Thomas Healy. I noticed his mother's name is incorrect. There are many variations associated with my great-grandmother, but I am using the spelling from birth and baptism records with St. Mary's Catholic Church In Waddington, NY. Thank you for all you do. It is important. Rita Martin

Mother: Hannorah Healy (maiden name: Joy)
