Bio and Links
Bio Photo Researching Family; mostly in the Philadelphia area, origins in Germany, Italy, Scotland and Ireland.

My quest is motivated by the desire to help my children realize that they are a composite of many ancestors who came before them, and to appreciate what former generations went through to maintain their families through hardships of many kinds.

I rejoice when I find a new cousin, and hope they share my joy. I enjoy assuring my older relatives of the valuable contributions they are making to preserve our family history. And, am so glad to have found an activity that allows me to use creative ways to make lasting contributions to my family.

My family includes the following surnames:

Mutter (Schotthoeffer, Emberger, Morio, Gorman, Farrell); Verrechia (Bugey, Buggy, Sanford); Vitale

Bozzelli (Vignola, Giorgio); Cattalo (Catalanese, Tuscano)
Culbertson (McAteer, Breen, McDermott, McGonnigal, Colgan)

A "Forget-Me-Not" has been placed on all family memorials; everyone in my family tree.

"Military flags" mark family who served in U.S. Armed Forces.

"Virtual Cemeteries" include all ancestors in the Mutter & Bozzelli familes

Thank you to everyone who contributes to Find A Grave, you are the BEST!

RE: Giacomo Piccirillo
Not sure what this is? The location of this marriage is not in Pietrapertosa, which is where these particular Piccirillos are located? Confused...

RE: Giacomo Piccirillo
Here is his birth record, and also the record of his parents marriage if you are interested. I hope you are able to view the record. Let me know if it's a problem.

Birth Giacomo Piccirillo

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9YZ-TQC8-R?i=139&cc=2450876

maternal grandfather Giacomo Cipriano was the one who reported the birth, document says his father was Pasquale Cipriano.

Marriage of Giacomo's parents, Constantino Piccirillo and Carmina Cipriano

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9YZ-TQP5-L?i=17&cc=2450876

Parents of Constantino are Francesco Piccirillo and Antonia (can't read her last name). Parents of Carmina "Carmela" are Giacomo Cipriano and Lucia Laroia.

RE: Giacomo Piccirillo
So, thanks to your request for an edit of Giacomo's name, I had reviewed his records, and had noted that his marriage record had his place of birth as Pietra Pestova, Italy. As I was researching towns in Potenza where my husband's 3rd great grandmother may have been from, I came across a town called Pietrapertosa, which was similar to Pietra Pestova (fresh in my mind thanks to you!), and thought, why not check to see if Giacomo was born there? Very quickly I found several siblings while looking for his birth record (which I found). I have updated his bio on findagrave, so if you want to update his birth info, it's 18 December 1846. Thanks !!!!

RE: Rosa Vignola
Actually, not through Vito Luigi's line, but through his son Antonio's wife, Francesca Fittipaldi.

Yes, I noticed your tree! Wonderful pictures you have posted! Vincenza looks to have had a smile that could light up the world! It is nice to see faces associated with the names. Thanks for the info for the other children. Vito Luigi has ties to my tree in other ways also, through his wife. Such a small world! Thanks for your responses!

I noticed the names Hulton and Culbertson in this wedding announcement. If you can link him to your line, kool.

Rosa Vignola
Received your message about linking her to Maria Rosa Piccirillo. They are one and the same. Actual birth was 24 July 1851, not 1855. Death dates match. I have also found the birth record. Also thanks for the info for Prospero and Rosaria's other children. I have found their birth records also, but have not researched their lines, yet, therefore, have not created findagrave memorials for them. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction for researching them. The family connection is my husband's great great great grandmother, Maria Antonia Vignola, a sister of Prospero. Just begun doing research on the Vignola line. Thanks for your help!

RE: Gerard E. McCrory
That was a lot of fun this morning trackin' ol' Gerard down. I suspect he isn't really of interest to your line, but I'd still like to know where he is buried just to tie up that last loose end. Let me know if you find anything. Good luck with your research.

I have gotten to the bottom of my questions. I did move her to Oakland Cemetery, Philadelphia. That made a duplicate entry and I'm working with the other owner for consolidation (he's a reasonable graver, so I expect no problems.) I asked him to add the tombstone image to mine and delete his, albeit he had his in the proper cemetery.

I also added her obituary and found her other husband, Gerard E. McCrory, who I had to add to "Cemetery Unknown" for now. If you ever find the proper cemetery, let me know and I'll move him.

I know this is a match because both obituaries mention Cynthia Smith as a daughter or step-daughter.

I hope this helps with your research.

I don't know why I put this in Oaklands cemetery, West Chester. Her husband is linked and he is in Oaklands in Philadelphia, WITH a tombstone photo with her name on it.

In Your Opinion, should I move this to the Philadelphia one?

I will be looking for the obit in a day or two, assuming the death place is correct.

Thoughts?
