Thank you very much for the transfer.
|TurningHearts||Thomas Barclay John|
I am the granddaughter of Thomas Barclay John. I grew up next door to him. Would you please transfer his memorial to me, as I would like to add a history and more photos of him.

Hi D.L. - I posted a photo of the lot where Levi P. Smith Sr's ashes were interred (confirmed by cemetery records). The only visible marker on the lot this week is for Levi Jr. and his wife. A nice, and prolific group of daylilies may be hiding additional markers. I'll check this fall to see if other markers are visible. Best regards - Deb

|Diana M. Cole||Hughes Family Line|
Recently you had requested a few edits to be done to William Hughes and his son, William Henry Hughes, descendants. Are you related to this ancestry line? William Hughes is my 2nd great-grandfather and William Henry Hughes is my Great-grandfather.

Sure thing and no worries, D L; I'm fairly certain those "tomb" buildings generally hold the remains of family members and usually there is no other marker/grave outside of them. I'd like to get to the cemetery one of these days this Fall and I'll try to remember to ask about whether that's true for certain. If not, I can let you know. I hope by submitting all the plot info I could find for the outstanding photo requests at Graceland that volunteers will find it easier to fulfill the hundreds requested. I don't do that work, but if I can help in my small way from my computer, I will! :o)

I located her obituary which I added to the memorial. It definitely looks like St. John's is where she is buried. So unfortunately she is in an unmarked grave :(

I am glad I could help you out with your photo requests in this cemetery. I have been slowly trying to document and take pictures of all of the stones this summer to add onto Find a Grave. I just have one tiny little section left to work on! It does not appear that there is a stone in this cemetery for Harriet Palmer, #103198130. This is the other photo request you have. Are you sure she is buried here? Did you want to call the Albany Diocese to get the exact plot location? If she is buried here she has an unmarked grave. I could get a photo of the area if I get the plot location though.

|Justine||RE: Wrong Headstone Photo|
Hi, I added a caption to the picture that this is his parents headstone and he is buried to the right of it in a unmarked grave. but I can remove it if you would like. When a grave is unmarked, I like putting a headstone of a marked grave expressly when it is a family sir name marker. I think this is better if someone is going to try to find the grave in the future. Please let me know if you would like if removed after reading the caption.

|Holly (Ames) Hanna||Charles & Sarah Spicer Markers|
According to the Fountain Grove Cemetery Book, Sarah & Charles are in Lot #1086 at Fountain Grove and have no markers. We walked to the actual grave site to verify and there are no markers for them.
|Jeff Phillips||RE: photo request|
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that was the one. The other one I found out was a connection to my family & it was the son of a Civil War Vet who is buried in Riverside but there are no records of his burial. I did look up a marriage for Parker Kennedy who married a Fanny Hughson in 1914.
Again, Thank you.
