Newly relocated to Minnesota. My wife and I moved here to be near our daughter and grandson. I have found that participating in both Find A Grave and doing genealogy work on ancestry.com at the same time is very satisfying.|
USE THE EDIT TAB, on the memorial you are asking about, for whatever you want me to do. PLEASE don't send me an email.
If you want me to transfer a memorial to you, just be related to that person, and DON'T FORGET TO USE THE EDIT BUTTON, that's all. If I'm related, too, I may keep them. I'm not going to get uptight about transferring. Happy Volunteering.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
― Hunter S. Thompson, The Proud Highway: Saga of a Desperate Southern Gentleman, 1955-1967
One ship sails East,
And another West,
By the self-same winds that blow,
'Tis the set of the sails
And not the gales,
That tells the way we go.
Like the winds of the sea
Are the waves of time,
As we journey along through life,
'Tis the set of the soul,
That determines the goal,
And not the calm or the strife.
Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I'm glad I could do this for you. My mother surveyed the cemetery in 2000; without her help it would have been difficult to fulfill the requests since much was illegible and the rows are uneven. I am a Lena native and this provided another trip down memory lane.
Thank you for the transfer

You're welcome, it's an interesting pastime which provides a service to others-enjoyed your Hunter S. Thompson quote !

Others may make those transfers but I don't for a couple of reasons. One is that I've known people to just delete original memorials and start over again with their own memorials. Marjorie made most of these memorials and I agreed to follow the guidelines concerning making transfers before she passed away. I'm a bit more lenient with my own memorials as I really don't care about numbers. I've been concentrating on adding info to existing memorials more than creating new memorials. Also I have known several children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who delight in such transfers and searching for their own past. If the information gets there, isn't that the point? I've already credited you for what you have sent on Ida's memorial. I would continue to do that if you so desire. You can always add photos yourself to any memorial and flower tokens as you know.

Sorry for the tardy reply as I haven't checked my messages as often as I should. In response to your question, Aunt Jane Harrison, my great-grandfather's half-sister, never found matrimony necessary to have a child. Ike's father was one Zack Bush, a flim-flam man who went to Missouri. Ike had half-brothers Jim and Bill Harrison and half-sisters Mary and Quintie Harrison.

I feel certain that together we can provide Find A Grave with meaningful, accurate memorials honoring these distant relatives of yours. Let me know by email or a click on Edit what you wish to add/change. I'll be sure to credit you with the information. Thanks. ~T Burt

The lot next to my parents in Forest Park, has a very large monument, for Trammel family. I don't recall first names. Do you have more Trammel family at Forest Park? Will do soon, depending on weather.
