Bio Photo I have always been interested in my family history, but my ability to find the time to do the research has fluctuated over the years. I belong to, and I enjoy looking up other people's ancestors almost as much as I enjoy looking up my own.

I have taken many gravestone pictures and am willing to take many more. I find them to be fascinating, and they have sometimes helped me in putting the pieces of my family's history together.

I discovered when a member took some pictures of my relatives' tombstones, found my family tree on, and asked if I wanted to take a look at the pictures. I started browsing this site, and I'm addicted. I think it is a wonderful resource!

Please notify me of any corrections, concerns, etc. for the memorials I've posted.

Carl C Amundson
Hi Jenny, I am doing a Family History Book as a gift for a dear friend who traces back to Carl through his daughter Ida Johanna (my friends grandmother) . My research is a public tree on Ancestry: The Cook Family Tree.

Just wanted to thank you and say how much I appreciated the information you posted here; that Carl changed his last name from Anderson to Amundson and often used Charles/Chas as a first name. With that information, I was able to trace the family to the 1905 and 1910 Cenuses in Anderson, Burnett, Wisconsin; both listed under the last name Anderson with Carl's name as Chas C. I was originally stumped, only finding the family in the 1920 census under Amundson.

What I find interesting is that the church records for baptisms of Annie (1903) and Andrew (1910) list the parents last name as Amundson; this being an overlap with 1905 and 1910 listing the last name as Anderson.

Just wanted to share. Thank you again.

A fellow researcher. Perri

The Mathisons of Brandon
Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for the plethra of information on my Mathison family! Petrina Mathison Sanderson was my great Grandmother and I've heard lots of stories about "the farm in Minnesota" from my Aunt Joyce. I contacted the Historical Society and got tons of stuff!! Even a picture of the farm... this was all very exciting to my daughter and me...

Thank you again! If it weren't for you, I may never have found my Norwegian roots!

Thank you SO much for the photos of my great-grandparents' headstone. It means so much to me! I feel like I've waited forever, and I was started to wonder if they were even in the cemetery (even though I was positive! :P). People had gone before to get the photo, and had never been able to find them. Was the grave very hard to find or anything like that?

Thanks again!

RE: Forest Hill Cemetery
it is perfectly fine; I will unclaim them and you can post your photos! I am not concerned with claiming as much as the finding and photographing them part!
Also, I did have an issue finding Rachel on my first attempt the other one I reported a problem on was an error; I just do not know how to remove the 'problem' I mistakenly reported. I will unclaim, now, so you can add your photos
Thanks, Chris

Alice Ahern
I tried to get a photo of Alice Ahern's grave for your memorial, but was unsuccessful. The Rose Hill office gave me the section and plot number, but after two walk-throughs, I finally solicited the help of a groundskeeper. We located the plot, but found that apparently no headstone or marker had ever been installed. Sorry I wasn't able to do more.

Thank you Jenny,
You did a wonderful job, I have been wanting to get up to Duluth and look up their graves for many years now but have not found the time to do it!

Thanks again!
