Edits need to be entered under the edit section of the memorial. There are many options, as well as a blank option to fill in what you wish to be edited.|
Sending three transfer requests for the same person in less than a week will not help. I have limited times to work on edits and often multiple edits. If after 30 days you have not received a response, then request again.
Just because someone's name is on a marker............doesn't mean they have passed. I have had 2 family members who are ALIVE deleted due to someone adding them. Death date unknown is not appropriate for someone who has not passed.
If I make an error, by all means let me know. POLITELY please. If you decline an edit I make, it gives you the option to explain why or to question the edit. This is fine, but don't leave a tacky public message questioning "so why????"
If you have disabled your public messages, do not expect others to appreciate when you leave them a negative comment.............I guess they disable theirs to protect themselves from responses.
If I have added a photo to a memorial, and you would like it added to another (ie spouse, child, etc.) please make a request and I will do so. Please do not just add a photo of mine. I work hard to take these photos, edit them, and add them. Also, I do believe this is against FAG policy.

Regarding markers with no death date for those still living. May I ask how you determine is someone is still alive even when a death year is absent from a marker bearing their name? Not all cemeteries have offices to inquire at. I've come across many markers bearing no death year despite the person having passed years ago. Most recently, I found a marker where the person was born in 1927 and there was no death date. At first glance one could assume (but then again you should never assume anything) that the person may still be living. It wasn't until someone sent me an edit that I found out they had passed nearly a decade ago. Just sayin...
|Leslie Galliher Gawne||Re Amos Moore, Parker Moore Cemetery|
Hello! Since Amos Moore is in the Parker Moore Cemetery, I hope I can assume he belongs to (one of those) branches of the Moore family from Ohio? Would you know who his parents were, or even a brother or sister?
|Robin Kabrich||Luther Kabrich #87313460|
I just submitted an edit for this memorial, year of birth, but I put in the wrong year - it's 1895 not 1896! Parents were Recompence Luther Kabrich, #10782985, and Sarah Funkhouser Kabrich, #107879900. Sorry about that!

Thank you for photographing and posting my father's grave in Dunkirk, Indiana. If you wouldn't mind terribly, would you transfer his memorial to me? Thank you.
I don't mind that you keep it. So, just keep this way. Her daughter Kathy West . Thanks for your concerns about this.

I just realized you transfered James Medsker to me .. thank you.
Thank you so much for the transfer of the memorial for Max Sanders
|Glenda Barry||Randall "Randy" Plummer|
I tried to send you a message on the edit tab but it wouldn't go through. My family and I knew Randy for over 30 years. His birthday is today, December 2, and I believe he was born in 1945, as he was about a year older than me. His middle initial was J. I asked him what the J stood for and he said it was just J. He was adopted and said that he didn't know who his biological family was. I think the lady who adopted him lived somewhere out by Selma, but I cannot remember for sure. It was a long time ago that he told me. I know he was in the Navy. He was a really nice guy who always had a smile on his face and was very kind to everybody.

I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give me your first and last name for the captions?
|Leisa Ross||Transfer of Memorial|
Hi my name is Leisa Ross (#48830606) and I was wondering if you would be willing to transfer Edna Pearl Burton Decker(#116096145) over to me? I am her Grand-Daughter and I would really like to maintain her memorial. I have only been a member for a little over a year so this is all new to me.
Thank you for creating her memorial.
