Bio and Links
Bio Photo I think genealogy is an addiction. I started out about 20 yrs ago because a cousin was talking about the family history he had discovered. I wanted to discover family history also. Now I am adding Find A Grave to my addictions. Love connecting parents with their children, even if I have no connection to them. I will search census lists, obits, anything I can to make sure these family connections are made.

RE: Mattie Routon 26218035
By the way, I've updated Mattie's memorial to show her as Samantha A "Mattie" Routon. I found her father's Texas death certificate and sent it to Robert Sage, who has a lot of Austin and Travis County knowledge and expertise because the DC only showed his burial location as "State". He said James J Routon is likely buried in the Austin State Hospital Cemetery and created a memorial for him. I found that all 9 known children of James Jefferson Routon and Mahulda Jane Tabor Routon that were enumerated in the 1900 Precinct 4, Travis Co., TX census are buried in Austin - various cemeteries. I have sent the link to James J Routon's memorial to each of the other memorials via the edit tab on each of their memorials.

Hello Angie,

Links to children cannot be removed via the parent memorial. I have gone to the edit tab on Ivan's memorial and requested via the edit tab that Mattie be removed as his mother. I would do it myself, but I do not maintain the memorial for Ivan. Bear in mind, it may take a while for the link to be removed as it depends on how often that contributor checks edits that have been sent to them.

Best Regards,

Curious about husband military service. All I could find was that he registered...but I could find any military records.

I don't have a Find A Grave location for Wiley P Yarbrough to make that link.

RE: Nancy Greer Thomas
Yes. I do agree on the errors. I have been to the cemetery in Farmersville and plan on going back as they do not have a record on line of Nancy Rebecca being buried there. My g-grandmother was Eliza Thomas ( daughter of Elijah and Nancy Rebecca).

"Mary" Nancy Rebecca Greer
I have been looking for Nancy Rebecca Greer's death certificate for years! She is my g-g grandmother!
Thanks so much for finding it! I am looking into getting her a grave monument. Going to contact the IOOF Cemetery in Farmersville. I have seen her husband's grave but didn't know she was buried there too!!
Again, thank you!

RE: Moses Tucker
That's so kind of you, I would really appreciate it. I know he's got to be close, as the family lived in the area at the time of his death. Have a pleasant afternoon.

RE: Moses Tucker
Thank you again, I really appreciate the information. I'll see what I come up with on some of the other's in the same county. Not sure why the family recorded it wrong, but have researched for years, it happens from time to time.
