Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching family for most of my life, collecting items from relatives and friends about our family and my father's family's business: The Hoag Duster Co.(later The Hoag Co.).
Am a relatively new member of Find A Grave. I am hoping to make application to the Mayflower Society through my Allerton/Howland/Soule lineage and hope F-A-Grave will be useful.
Paternal family line includes: Hoag, Ellis, Goldthwait, Coffin, Cushman, Guiles -- all with varying spellings -- and more.
Our migration path seems to be Niagara, NY/ Villenova, NY; McKean Township, PA; Winnebago County, IL (Roscoe/Rockton/Beloit/Janesville WI)and then to Monticello, IA.
With the help of friends & family, I have been able to collect and add much to all my family trees and genealogy information.

RE: Wm H Winans - Sacred Heart Cemetery
Over the weekend we visited the site - so curious to see if they might be buried elsewhere I left a message and got a call back this morning from the secretary at Sacred Heart Church. Their records confirm that Teresa Winans Wright and William Winans are buried on either side of Margaret - but no stone. So maybe as you mention they were either vandalized or damaged by flood. Wondering if there was enough family descendants who might contribute to a new marker. Would be nice to have a memorial for all of them at that plot.

PS - William and Margaret are great grandparents of my spouse Beverly Lawrence. Her mother was Margaret Cairy, daughter of Anna Winans & Fred Cairy - Anna was daughter of Wm & Margaret, sister to Teresa buried here with her parents.

RE: Your work is terribly important and greatly appreciated!
I am so very sorry for the delay in responding. My best advise is to contact the Rensselaer Historical Society or someone on the Rootsweb page from the following link for directions. The information I have was supplied to me by the HS. when I transcribed the cemetery records that were emailed to me. I was not physically in NY. I'm in Ohio.
The above is a link to the cemeteries in Pittstown, Rensselaer County , NY.

The DOB is on the stone that is laying on the ground in the photo.

RE: Thank you! Huling photo
You, are again, more than welcome. You may want to check out 2 Landel graves in the Huling plot, the stones were of the same style. There was a Landel dairy operation back in the (20's maybe) here on Grand Island. Also, The Hulings owned a large tract of land bordered by Staley Rd to the south, Whitehaven rd. to the North, Stony Point to the east (not sure of the western boundary... anyway this was the Huling farm and the Maple Grove Cemetery was started by the Hulings. BTW, love your findagrave name!

RE: Thank you for the photo of the Smiths
Glad to do it, to the south of David and Isabella's gravestone is a stone with their children David M. and William F. Smith and Isabella's father John McClaggan. I've put their photos on the website too.
