Thomas Everett Fetherston is my 2nd great grandfather. I'm looking for evidence that his father is the Thomas Fetherston who is the son of John Fetherston and Sarah Silverheels. In the 1880 census, Thomas Everett reported that his father was born in Ireland. Our DNA seems to support this. Can you help prove the link?

|Dora Smith||Looking for more information|
Sorry, I don't see your name here.
I am looking for more information on Find A Grave Memorial# 151162166, for William Brewster I, born in 1470 in Rushmore, Waveney District, Suffolk, died in 1521 in Arksey in South Yorkshire, buried at All Saints Churchyard in Arksey.
Specifically, where does "William I" come from, and, above all, where did you get the information that he was born in Rushmore, Suffolk?

|angel||RE: Alice Hoar|
Thats the thing, I saw that to but I have also found that it might of been used as a title for her instead of a last name. There is a lot of speculation about who she really is but no documented evidence to prove that she really is the daughter of Lord John Lisle. He would of been about 14 when she was born. I did find that John Hoar's brother, Leonard, married Bridget Lisle who was the daughter of Lord John Lisle and his second wife Lady Alice (Alicia). It is here that I believe people have been getting very confused on it.
There is speculation that she may be Alice Sidney who could of been the daughter of Robert Sidney. Robert Sidney was granted the title of Viscount Lisle on 1605 which might be the reason why the name comes up in her records. That information is from Wikipedia so there is some room for that to be a error but I believe that it might be better for her not to have the parents connected unless there is deep proof as to that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hoar is the Wikipedia entry. If I do find out anything more on her, I will let you know as I am a direct descendant of Alice from my research and will still be searching for more information.

I'm curious how you determined the birth/death dates for Thomas and William Winslow, the ancestors of the Winslow's that came to America on the Mayflower. There are discrepancies between your dates and other records I've found, though perhaps yours are more accurate as the other records are from genealogy research from 100+ years ago ("The Tracy Family/The Winslow Family" compiled by Scott Lee Boyd available in Ancestry.com, and "The Kenelm Winslow Memorial" by David Parsons Holton, which I found a digital copy of in Google).
You have Thomas Winslow b. 1465 and d. 1507; William Winslow b. 1500 and d. 1562, and Kenelm Winslow b. 1534 d. 1607 (this Kenelm is my 13th great grandfather).
The other records I've mentioned list a William Wyncelow b. 1340, then Thomas Winselowe born about 1380 and was living in 1443 and 1452, and listing William born about 1435-1440. Then there is no date given for Kenelm Winslow's birth, only death in 1607. This timeline leaves a long gap between William and Kenelm, and the authors of the sources I mentioned above discuss some uncertainty here (for instance is there a generation gap?). The timeline you've listed on the other hand, makes more sense chronologically but doesn't go further back than Thomas.
Any further insight would be helpful!

Elizabeth married John Berkeley, Baron Berkeley of Stratton, after the death of her first husband. The couple had no children. She is buried at St. Mary the Virgin, Bruton, Somerset, England. Her coffin is in the crypt of the church, and there is a plaque on top that says, "The Right Hon. Lady Eliz. Adriana Egerton, daughter of Wm. Late Earl of Portland, Widow of the Hon. Doctor Henry Egerton, Late Bishop of Hereford, Died 9th November 1765, In the 69 Year of Her Age." I had some difficulty reading the plaque as it is quite eroded (September 2014); it may say ". . .in the 62nd year of her age."
