John Warren Kendrick
I am quite curious as to why you think J W Kendrick is James Warren. Is there a document where he is listed as James? Joseph Kendrick's probate, Lincoln Co, NC and the family Bible of John Warren Kendrick and Martha Craig Glenn are just two of the proofs that verify the name John. John Warren and Martha Kendrick are my great-great grandparents.

Info supplied for Pvt. William Gove Clampitt
My 4th Great Grandfather was Richard Edward Clampitt 1748 - 1820. He was born in Kent County Delaware and died in Forsyth County, NC. I've not been able to find anything concrete about his parents or siblings. He married his second wife in Delaware in 1783, and moved to NC before 1786, because their first child was born in NC in 1786. I was wondering if you could tell me where you obtained the family information that you contributed for Pvt. William Gove Clampitt, as they appear to have been born around the same time and lived in the same areas.
Thanks so much,
Vonda Clampitt Meredith-Richlin

Relatives of David and Robert Johnston
Dear Gary, It has been awhile since I have spoken with you but I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the copy of Source: Sketch of the Neel Johnston Family of the New Acquisition by David A. Bigger M.D. 1932? Where would I find it? This is on Robert Johnston, Sr. Find a Grave site at Find a Grave Memorial # 40577305. The source is mentioned here but when I looked it up online I could not find it.
My e-mail is

I'm finally taking the time to find my dead relatives and complete my family tree. I am so intrigued by your reference on George Martin Looney that you got the information from Looney Family History in Roger Ar Library. What sort of family history is there? Thank you for all your work. God Bless Myra Looney

Fortenberry/Overby/McGee connections
Gary, Thank you for your reply. After filling in a few blanks in my family tree, I found that your wife Nancy was a 4th cousin to my husband. And you are a 3rd cousin 1x removed to me. I just find that so interesting! Our children are therefore related to both you and your wife. Thank you for all the extensive and phenomenal work that you and your wife have done on Find A Grave. It is priceless. And my very heartfelt condolences to you; I was sad to learn that she had passed on. Thank you again, sincerely.
