Bio Photo FIRST LET ME SAY I Will GLADLY TRANSFER A MEMORIAL I have created if they are NOT an ancestor of mine and I welcome any and all corrections or additions. Please feel free to use any photos or info I have posted, Please know that I am not about numbers! I am the wife of a Canadian/Texacan, mother of 3 & Meme to 7 so far. We live in Texas now where I have lots of roots close by. I became interested in Family History because of my Uncle Gene. He was collecting family info back when it was very hard compared to now, in the early 50's, way before pc's and the internet. It is thanks to him that I have so many wonderful pictures and info on my father's side of the family. I have had the bug to collect Family History for over 40 years. So I now have over 8000 family names in my PAF file along with thousands of pictures to pass to my descendants.I love to help others anytime that I am able to. Never have all the time that I would like, but do what I can. Thanks to all of those that came up with this site, and keep it going, it is a great help to so many.Shelia Ivy Eyers

RE: Ida Elizabeth
Bio should read: the time of her father's death.

as I corrected myself in the last message

RE: Ida Elizabeth
Sorry, they were estranged when HE died. He died shortly after the 1900 census which indicated that he was widowed. That was a common response to the census enumerator rather than sharing such personal information. However, it was technically not a lie as he WAS widowed from his first wife, Mary Colvin several years earlier. :)

RE: Ida Elizabeth
According to census records she was born about 1876 in Smith County, TX. I do not have a death date.
I believe she and her mother were living together in Leon County. Her mother is buried in the Liberty Cemetery in Centerville, Leon County. Her mother and father were estranged at the time of her mother's death.

RE: Ida Stone
BTW, her name was Ida Elizabeth "Lizzie" Stone. The middle name, Lucy, was a mistake.

What can you tell me about Ida Lucy Stone, if anything, and the Sardis Cemetery?

Ida may be a cousin for whom I have been looking.

James Crawford
Hi from Blenhaim, Ontario, Canada
I came across your name on the Find A Grave site while looking into James Crawford (1819 * 1883). He was my greatgreatgrandfather, and I have a photo of his gravestone if it is of any interest to you. Is he a part of your tree,if so, I have quite a bit of information, but can't go anywhere before him. James was born in Ireland, but died in Ontario, Canada. As you have found out, I would imagine, it is really hard to find information at times. Looking forward to hearing from you.

RE: L. W. Johnson
Hi Sheila,

I've dug into this a bit more and found that you are somehow related to Mary and Charles Johnson, they are my great-great-great grandparents.
Do you have any further information on them?
Specifically, I'm looking for information on their daughter Vashti's 1st husband.

Thank you!
