Eldest daughter of Robert Donald Herbine and Marjorie Ellen Dodd Herbine. I am the family tree maker for my branch of the family. Researching family lines: Herbine, Dodd, Bates, Dingee, Faust, Eyer, Hileman. ( to name a few) Work as a nurse in a major theme park and have 2 wonderful dogs. Would love to hear from cousins.|
I have also taken over the virtual care of Jerseytown Cemetery in Columbia County PA. I am also working on entering memorials for Pine Grove Market and Roselawn Cemeteries in Berwick, Columbia County. Please stop by and if you find a relitive and have corrections or additions for the bio please let me know. Please feel free to add flowers or pictures of your family as it makes the memorial more real.
I have one virtual cemetery of the vets in my family. I am proud of the military heritage scattered throughout my family in my direct and indirect lines. When you add them all up every military conflict in our nations history except the most recent gulf war has a represenitive from my family.
From June 1, 2017 to July 3,2017 I have not had a functional E-Mail. The E-mail on record was not sending or receiving. So if you E-Mailed me I did not receive it. My new address is SHERBINE@cfl.rr.com Sorry for the inconvenience. Sue

PS for my message below:
I'd photographed & transcribed most of the Dod and colonial era gravestones here in the 1990's, and had entered the names exactly as spelled on the stones when I made the Findagrave entries a few years later. Many of those old 35mm photos no longer read well online, so the digital photos added by other Gravers are definitely an asset!
|Nikita Barlow||Elizabeth Hinman Dod|
Hello again, Sue!
Thanks for your response. I've updated the bio section of Elizabeth's page to clarify that she was the first wife of Samuel Dod (1736-1795), also mentioning their children by name. There are now Links to her parents, too. Still missing is Abiathar's, evidently the only child of hers & Samuel's to live to adulthood.

The above is actually a 2009 dupe of the entry I made for "Elizabeth Hinman Dod" in 2005. It's readily understand how this could have happened, as Elizabeth's surname is probably spelled "Dodd" in some records, but due to the complications involved in the increasing number of dupes that involve surname variations, the Findagrave Admins have been adamant about following the website rule that entries must be made using the spelling as it appears on the gravestone. In Elizabeth's case, it is "Dod".
Thanks for your consideration.

|Sandra Sager||Aaron Sager - 17719016|
I see you have set up a memorial for Aaron Sager (1826-1917). Are you a descendent? If so, we are cousins because he was my 2X great-grandfather through his son Elias. If you would like to compare notes on family history, please feel free to email me.
|Ken Clarkson||Glenn Fetterman - marital status|
Sue, According to Glenn's death certificate he was married. Family search provides an 'Application for Marriage license' for Glenn to Laura Zimmerman, the marriage took place in Minersville on the 30/9/1931. Glenn and Laura were living apart by the time of the 1940 census, both are back with their respective families. Also with Laura is their 7 year old daughter Lois Fetterman.
Ken Clarkson [Laura's 4th cousin] Wollongong, Australia

Sorry I forgot to email you before. I sent you an email with the subject line Carl and Ruth Herbein. It contains what I know of their family.
|joe s||us army nurse edna hartzel|
Thank you for the nice note and pictures for edna hartzel, she was my fathers hero and helped raise him. She served six years.I recently found a picture of her in France WWI waiting to go to the western front to serve as a nurse in the trenches, they were probably similar to what we called a MASH unit. It was a shame when we were burying her the American Legion told us they didn't consider a Veteran. People don't realize the sacrifices women made during all our wars.
Thank you for your service . joe s.
