Thank you for posting the info and bio for Charlotte S. Schmidt and Albert Schmidt. We have been trying to find death record for Charlotte. Would you happen to know where the Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit, MI records are maintained and how to access them? The web-site for the cemetery is not active, nor is their phone number.
We are fulfilling your photo request. It is above ground burial. We will go back in the spring and look for any individual markings. We did not see any today.

Your post brought tears to my eyes. I was just 14 when we buried my father and I had never seen his headstone. I no idea where to look for him in that enormous cemetary. I am so grateful.
Kind wishes, Holly Smith
Thanks for the headstone picture & the cemetery info. Very much appreciated!

I found an other obituary for Ms. Lyon in the Palatka News and Advertiser (Palatka, FL) of 12/8/1916. It doesn't contain any additional information, but I thought you might like to see it anyway. It appears she was very well loved by the community and her church family.

Thank you for adding a headstone photo & sending me the plot number. I have added it to the memorial.
Thanks so much for taking your time to go and take these photos. Looks like you had to dig out these headstones. When I go to take photo of graves I always take my tools, as they are often buried.

To those interested , while there are many names on the monument, when you ask for the map of who is buried there you will find that most children who lived outside of Detroit as adults are buried somewhere else . The dates are nice to have from the monument.
