Most of my ancestors originate from Britain and Ireland but I am researching a twig on the family tree that originates from Virgina & Missouri way way back when. I think Find A Grave is a great place to honour my ancestors and to help others follow the trails I have been on. I am located in Canada and its hard for me to do on-site research in other places. So, many thanks to all who post info and photos. Hopefully someone will find the info I post useful too. If you do, send me a message or place some flowers in my relatives' memorials. Cheers, Tracy Anne.|

Thank you for sending the update.

You're welcome! We were also thinking of driving to Saskatchewan sometime in the summer. In case you'd be interested in meeting a distant cousin :)

I'm not even sure if an original photograph exists, but if it is, it might very well be long lost. The artist or the time of creation is not known. The drawing - originally thought to be a photo - was in the possession of Hazel Elizabeth Finnen Maynard, until she left it to my mother-in-law some time before Hazel's death in 1991. The drawing was not in a good condition and was covered in fly droppings - my MIL got it professionally cleaned up and framed. I didn't want to damage it by removing it from the frame, so I tried my best to take a photo of it with adequate lighting and no reflections.
I'll gladly upload it right away!

Hi Tracy Anne, you might remember me - my wife is a descendant of Thomas & Ismena Finnen, just like you. I stumbled upon a photorealistic charcoal drawing of your great great grandparents - would it be okay if I added it to 97303257 and 97303639?

Many thanks for the wonderful work you and other Find A Grave contributors do by taking photos of Grave Markers & Cemetery Photos. I wonder if your photos are copyright or can I share them on my family tree on Ancestry.com. I will give you the photo credit eg Photo Credit: Thanks to "Tracy Anne”, Find A Grave Website, Photo used with permission. Many thanks, Barb Muir Gillespie-from Australia
Hello Tracy. Just dropping a line to say thank you for the work and time you put into this site. After two years of hunting down a long lost relative I just found what I was looking for. Well, to be honest I stumbled onto it.Had it not been for the work you put into taking photo"s of tombstones, I may not have been so fortunate to complete my work on one relative. Now I can focus more time on other lost souls. Keep up the great work and again thank you.

Hello Tracy Anne. It was my mothers 89th birthday this week and I decided to update some of my research. So shocked and happy to see that you posted the headstone of my GREAT GRANDFATHER. My mother was overjoyed as we live so very far away from northern SK in SW Florida.
I would like to ask if you would be willing to transfer this entry to me on Find A Grave? I would be so appreciative. Please let me know and I will send you my number in a private message.
Thank you very much for posting this headstone.

hi tracy thought you might be interested, I just returned from a Kenneth Howat funeral in P.A, decided to tidy up my Howat file & came across your page which shows records of a Mary Richardson Howat.
Kenneth from todays funeral would Probably be the son of John Howat 1875-1949 from Mary R Howat children, can the history you show for Mary be supported by any other records or only
" calculated relationships " .
The Obit for Kenneth can be found at panow obits.
You may also be interested in an obit for Mary Sipes, Kenneths sister, I have a copy of that if your interested.
