Bio

Descendant of Cyrus Saunders Moore, Cyrus Clifford Moore, Annie M. Campbell Moore Scofield. Also, Robert McKinney Moore and Beulah Mabel Johnson Moore, interred Arlington National Cemetery. They are my great-grandparents. Daughter of Matthew Edward Branca, interred at Arlington National Cemetery, along with my grandfather, Pasquale Leonard Branca. Descendent of Patrick J. Downey, Mt. Olivet--he is my great-great-grandfather. Granddaughter of Robert McKinney Moore, Jr. and Catherine Ellen Linkins Moore, interred Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, Prince George's,MD.

I became interested in Genealogical study, when my paternal grandmother--Alice Howard Branca, shared her personal studies with me. I've collected various items of information on my own after finding a family history book given my mother as a gift. It was empty of info, so at that time I asked if I could have it, and designated myself as the family archivist-historian. That was about 20 some years ago.

Last year, my husband and I discovered it is an interest we share, and joined Ancestry.com. Since then we have amassed quite a collection of photos and other pieces of data pertaining to his family and mine. My aunt, who is carrying on my grandmother's legacy, directed me to this site where even more information, including photographs, much to my delight, abound! I am excited at finding branches of family that I was unaware of and that they have photos of grandparents I was unaware existed. This has refueled my search and added to the excitement of solving this most intricate puzzle--my family.
