Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm originally from Louisville, KY, as is most of my family, including the Minogues, Dietrichs, Schoenbachlers, Fischers, Godeckers, Spaeths, Bestens, and plenty of others.

And my wife and her family (Conde, Stiles, Austin, Bisbee, Holmes, Zielinksi, Chambers, Przydryga, Caverly) are all from upstate NY.

Many of those I've added to this site are my or my wife's family, but many I've added are from unrelated families with the same/similar names. I'm happy to transfer these folks a more appropriate person. I'm also happy to add any additional pertinent information you have or corrections in the inevitable event I've made mistakes.

Sorry, failed to address your questions. Although Mother never knew what the S stood for, I found his draft registration that he signed that said "Sir". I'll get the County corrected also on his ancestry page as well as his Find A Grave site if it's wrong. Thank you.

Grace family in Renovo
Matt, I just added grave pictures for Gertrude, Katherine, and William Grace. They are all buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Hyner not in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Renovo. St. Joseph's cemetery in Renovo is known as St. Joseph's old cemetery and St. Joseph's cemetery in Hyner is known as St. Joseph's new cemetery.

RE: Nora Seyller Hanka Hall Bolin
Matt, I spoke to Mother today and ask her again about her father's middle name and she said he always(she thought) that he jokingly said it stood for SOUR. his draft registration says it is Sir and he signed his name Joe Sir Bolin. I am sure he was not too educated and may not have been able to read too well and just copied what the person filling out the registration form put down. i will research it a little further. He has a son in Shelbville that may be able to shed more light on the subject. I posted a picture of Nora and Joe on Find A Grave.

Thank you for pointing that out. I'll be happy to make the link. I do not believe I knew where she was buried. She was married to my Grandfather, Joe Bolin. Mother said she saw Nora at Joe's funeral in 1962. What is your connection to Nora? I have a picture of Nora if you are interested. I believe Joe and Nora were separated when he died.

Joseph Minogue (1892-1956)
Good Morning,

I hope this doesn't get too confusing. A cousin, while cleaning out the attic of a recently deceased elder came across a photo and thank you card from a Rev Joseph W Minogue, from Covington, Kentucky, no date included, on the occasion of his ordination. He was the son of the Joseph you created the memorial page for.

This cousin and myself are both direct descendants of a Catherine Minogue, (1857 IRE-1928 PA). And I have been trying to work out how the two lines might fit.

The obituary you have included with Joseph's passing points out that he is the father of Rev Joe, so I conclude that these two are related but you have also connected him to a William and Sarah O'Connell as his parents. The death certificate lists Joseph and a Sarah Welsh as his parents, with Rev Joe acting as the informant.

I know that information on certificates can be incorrect, so I am wondering if you would know more about why William and not Joseph.

I suspect that my Catherine was a niece to the Michael you have linked as Williams father, there must be some degree of closeness as this card and photo arrive some twenty years after her death. The family name is Kerper where this turned up, but no one is familiar with a link to Kentucky.

Sorry if this is confusing, my name is Noreen and my email is mspace52@gmail.com.
