Having more fun walking the older areas of the cemeteries and thinking of the histories.|
I have photographed all of Oak Grove and more than half of Lakeside in Pekin, IL. There are alot of missing headstones and quite a bit that are unreadable. Getting what I can before they are gone.
I will transfer ONLY within Find A Grave's guidelines. Though happy to add any information you have to the memorials. This is a memorial site, not a family genealogy site.
I also have spent many an hour walking the cemeteries and transcribing headstones that are hard to read. If you take any of the photos and place them on other sites such as Ancestry, at least make credit back to me. May sound selfish, but giving credit to someone for their work is only correct.

You are good. The lady named Lynda Gibb did the other memorial. I believe it is the one we've been looking for thank you.

Linda, I want to thank you for all the work you have done to preserve the history that is decaying away. Thomas O. Cassady was my Great great Grandfather. We live in Washington state so with much speculation our family has looked for his burial plot. I have a cousin in the Champaign, Il area and have always talked about making the trip to cemetery hop to find our Great great Grandfather.
I can see you have walked and rewalked the cemeteries in Livingston county and Tazewell county. It is our speculation that he would be in a cemetery around Fairbury. We would appreciate it if you would keep an eye out for Thomas Oney Cassaday's marker it would be appreciated.

Thanks so much or the obit, it was very much a welcomed surprise, although it does not solve the problem of where she is buried. I will try to get a death certificate and hope that it states where she is. Thanks again!

Abbie Gertrude Reed married William B. Stewart on 27 Feb 1890 in Tazewell Co. IL. She was dead by the 1900 U. S. Census but they had three childred: Frederick, Elizabeth & Viola Marie. Willilam is buried with his family in Bequaith Cem. Abbie is close to her father Jacob Reed in Woodrow Cem.

Thanks for your time and effort on trying to locate Mary Welty's grave. Will try to get a death certificate for her and see what cemetery she is actually buried in. Sorry for the wild goose chase! Thanks again.

Thanks for the attempt.

I am typing/indexing Tazewell County Death Certificates for Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society which begin in 1877. John Largent's death certificate indicates clearly 1879 as death year.

Thank you for letting me know that Charles Robertson was buried in Lakeview rather than Lakeside Cem.
