Hi I live in Louisiana - Most of my family are from West Monroe in Ouachita Parish, Jackson Parish and Shreveport (Caddo Parish),Louisiana. |
I've been interested in geneology since about 2000 and have found so many stories of those in them fascinating - as well as learning of my heritage - which has really surprised me in a lot of cases.

I am so sorry, am just now seeing your message. I will try to start checking to see if I have messages. As to your question, they were living near Marshall, Texas.
So it would be Greenwood Cemetery, Marshall, Harrison Co, Texas.
Hope this helps.

I see you have Phoebe Bryan McMinn having a daughter by the name of Pearl Louise. I am Phoebe's great granddaughter and I didn't know she had a daughter by that name. Phoebe's son, Oscar Leon, was my grandfather, and his daughter (My mother) was Pearl Louise McMinn. I was just wondering if this is correct info about Phoebe having a daughter by the name of Pearl Louise. I never remember my grandfather talking about that. I know my Mom and grandfather went to Indian Village and found his mother's grave and went to a Bryan reunion probably 40 years ago.

Thank you Peggy so much for transferring my Uncle Grady Brown's brother to me so I could add his obituary and also link him to his parents and brothers/sisters. I appreciate all of your help!!

|Melody Roswell||Hicks family|
Do you happen to know if there are any other Hicks in this Cemetery, the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Panola Co. TX that might not be listed as of yet? The reason that I ask is that is because I am looking for Charles Monroe Hicks father, who was named Hijah Sylvester Hicks (also a civil war soldier) but have not found him nor his wife Martha Jane Hill-Hicks-Fortson, their final resting place. A lot of times people bury family together, and I haven't been able to locate them there. With Charles and Cora found that is great, but was looking to find Charles's parents and siblings as well.
|Carolyn Grisham||John Luster Lawless|
Per his Spouse. John was married before the spouse you listed.
Gussie Lenore Generelly. (she was my 1st cousin 2x removed.
Gussie was born Oct. 1884 in Arkansas and died Oct. 11, 1918 in Harrison Co, Texas. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery. (I have not found cause of death but think it could have been from child birth). Gussie married John Luster Lawless in 1917. I am sure he was married to her as I found a few records plus his brother James William was married to Gussie's sister Mabel.
John Luster listed Gussie as his wife on his WWI Reg. Registrar's Report is stamped 42-17-0 This was for the Reg..for WWi. The Texas Death record number for him is: 1103.

Thank you Peggy! You are one of my findagrave Angels!
Since my first email to you earlier I have found Freeman descendants here in Texas where I am! Such an incredible journey!
Thank for again for all you do, and thank for for transferring Katie Idelman to my care.
Sincerely Yours, Maurene

I am working on my family genealogy which includes that of my late husband who died at age 34 in 1983.
Katie Freeman was my late husband's great-great grandfather Man Idelman's brother's daughter. I am always thrilled when I am able to trace women, as they can be so hard to find. I am surprised to see Katie in Louisiana as New Orleans was where my late husband and I met in college, and my late husband was from Boston. :-)
Katie came from a large family of 8 children. I still have one sibling yet to find, and of course it is a woman whose first name I do not know . . . yet.
I would be thrilled if you would transfer Katie's memorial to me so that I can add details to her memorial, and connect her with her parents and siblings.
Thank you for all that you do for those who have passed, and thank you for your consideration.
