The two previous messages about Robert Poe are miss sent information! Correct information, but sent about the wrong person; not Robert Poe!

Sorry for the mistake!

RE: Robert Poe
Ok, I'll see if I can explain this correctly!

Sallie A. Poe Brooks was the oldest child of Francis Marion Poe(1834-1901) Francis Marion Poe was a younger brother of Robert Stephenson Poe(1822-1887)

I'll be happy to get you in touch with the Poe family, but I will try to answer any questions in the meantime.

If it's too complicated, use my email address direct.

RE: Robert Poe

No, I'm not related to John Poe, but I'm researching for good friends who are related to him. I've been royally stuck on my own family tree for about 15 years.....Smith from Scotland, so since I like to do the research, I help out friends who want the information, bur not the work! We even did a Smith DNA study and it was no help!

Robert H Brooks father was George Washington Brooks (1834/NC to 1870/TN); mother was Nancy Jane Johnson (1837 to 1897);her Find a Grave number is 19291484. They show up on the 1860 census/Bradley County/ Robert 1yr old. Hope this is correct! It all seems to make sense!

Thanks! Arden

Andrew Jackson Hensley 80661472
I see that you said Andrew Jackson Hensley is a brother to your great grandmother. Who was she?
I'm helping my son-in-law in his searching for their brother, John Thomas Hensley and Nancy Elizabeth Upton.
Do you know anything about him?
The problem we have is that Sean, my s-i-l, is part Indian. His father really looked Indian. Sean is blond and blue-eyed but otherwise looks just like his dad.
Sean's grandfather was Mearl Thomas Hensley, a thug who was shot and killed in Chicago in the early 1970's. According to Sean's dad, before he died he told Sean some things about the family. He said that Mearl's parents were William Alfred and Flora Leona O'Dell. William Alfred was the son of John Thomas Hensley and Nancy E. Upton. John Thomas's father was James Hensley.

The photo of another John Thomas Hensley and his wife, Polly, look so much like Sean's dad, and knowing his Indian heritage, we wonder if somehow James isn't their son. Do you have any idea?

Thank you so much for your input. I have deleted the memorial I created.
I don't get on here as often as I used to, so sorry it took me so long.
Thanks so much to this Find A Grave site we can work together to create these memorials and have a way to find out more about our family lines.

multiple married names
Please consult the FAQ about naming conventions, which says that ONLY the maiden name goes in the maiden name fied, and ONLY the final last name goes in the last name field. Other names can be mentioned in the bio area.

You have a number of memorials in violation of the naming conventions.

RE: Re: Coy J Nave
The person who made the first entry had entered the wrong cemetery. They were advised that they had the wrong cemetery for the memorial. They had posted an obituary that included the correct cemetery.
