Bio Photo Since 2005 I have been working to put together the giant puzzle of my husband's and my ancestors. It is so helpful to find information at Find A Grave to substantiate or add to my research. I hope what I add will be helpful to others and maybe we can collaborate!

Ernest Anderson

Hello DiAnn,

I've added a temporary photo of Ernest Anderson's grave maker to his memorial. Took a little digging since much of the marker was covered by spreading grass and weeds. The blue part of the marker is what was still in view.

I didn't have anything with me to clean it, but we're expecting some rain so that might help. I'll stop by again in a few days and see if I can clean off any remaining dust and debris; and will replace the temporary photo with, I hope, a better one.

Best wishes,
Crystal

Hi DiAnn,

I'm sorry I didn't see the memorials you made, I'm usually better at catching them than that. I'll delete my duplicates so you can move yours over to Sacramento Valley.

Regards, Sidney

RE: Eriksen family at Hamar Kirkegaard
Hi DiAnn.
First of all I want to say that I read and understand English, but write it is an entirely different matter. I use Google to translate for me, so please do not laugh too much :-).

Now on to your question what it means when I write that a grave is deleted. In Norway graves one close seasons in 20 years - there is no charge. Then the next of kin to decide whether they will pay a ground rent to keep the grave - it is usually for five years at a time. When the grave is deleted so nothing happens other than that headstone is removed, and then the same graveyard be applied to others. It is perhaps not the best phrase deleted, but what do you suggest that I use instead?

I will be happy to transfer your three family members to you.
Plot: An explanation of what I mean by - for example:T.04.005 = Section T, Lot 4, Grave 5.

If you are interested in obituaries for your Norwegian family members, send me an email.

Greetings from Hedvig.
